Is hacking your town a bad thing?

Let's all be perfectly honest here. Wouldn't you agree that there are some characteristics of your town that you wish you could change? Like, maybe you wanted an island, but didn't get one. Or you wish your house was by the beach. I mean, i know that if i could hack, i would change the way my town looks to my preference.

Now please don't yell at me for talking about hacking. I'm just wondering, if you could change your town by hacking (but keeping it realistic*), would you?

*realistic in the sense of no floating buildings, no neighbors neatly lined up, etc.

You guys have been so clean about this whole thing that i felt bad hiding the truth. Because in fact, i can hack and after reading your comments, i went ahead and changed my town to my likings. Here's before and after:

I probably would but wouldn't even think about it until I got completely and utterly bored of the game. That doesn't mean that I actually would hack though ;P

If I could make it so I had a island, yeah I think I would... because he island is nice... and make so you have more then two ways up to the upper part! Because both of the paths down to the lower part of the town are towards the right side! So annoying when I have to run all the way to the otherside just to get to your Nooks or w/e...

I really wish I could hack so I could maybe change the layout of my town and make is so there would be more villagers. I would not give myself money because that would make the game boring.

No. I won't. I do not really care about how my town looks, aslong as I have fun in it I am happy. I did not even resetted the games a few times to get a new city. Plus if you hack once, you drown and power and want to hack more and more.

Why the first thing I would do would be something I could do, but hacking makes it into a shorter task!

Like making my trees ordered so you could easily find every building in my town!
Floating buildings would be awesome though, if, well, you can get into them at least.

It isnt bad to hack your own town because thats your choice but if you do it to other peoples towns thats just wrong :l

I actually do edit my town :] AND MY TOWN ONLY!!! If someone asks for something, I'd get it for them, but that's only if I know the person well enough to be friend. I think this makes the game more fun to be honest. New layouts everyday! ;D Its an adventure :]

no i probably wouldnt..... i have family members who play the same game.....if we all want different things than hacking would start havak and make living in a town with friends and your family lame because no one would agree....without hacks we all just deal with what we got
