I much rather prefer physical to digital copy. But AC is a game that should always be in your system
and you can't do that with physical. It the same thing with Smash Ultimate. Playing New Leaf on my
3DS was frustrating because I constantly had to take out the cart when I wanted to play other games and
Had to put it back in just to play for 15 to 30 minutes.

This would be a no brainer if my internet wasn't 660kbps which would take 24 hours to download the game.
And I'm not sure what Nintendo server speed is compare to Sony and whether there will be slowdown because of the virus?

I can go to Gamestop tomorrow and pick it up but worry about the virus affecting
my family.

Help me decide! Thanks.

I would say if you own more than one switch get a physical copy. That way each switch can have its own island. But if you only have 1 switch its totally up to you based on your preference

I agree with Krissi. I have a lot of digital games as like physical games. For Animal Crossing, I choose a physical game, because like that, I could start playing right now instead of waiting until it finished downloading and... I like certain game covers ^_^

My AC switch won't arrive until Monday (I'm in Australia where it got released on 20/3) but I'm 100% gonna go digital.

Almost all my 3DS games were digital as well

Digital. I've had to get digital as well as physical as my physical won't arrive til next week.

I like having the cartridge because it's more valuable.

Obviously totally up to your personal preference but imo the perceived "value" of the physical game is in no way greater than the convenience of digital. Are you really planning on re-selling your copy? Boggles my mind

I got a physical copy for the opportunity of starting a new island on a separate Switch.
It's good to have just in case, imo. And there's something grounding about having the cartridge.
