Am I the only one who's hearing Cicada like sounds outside my house?
cause they're really loud af, lol.

I was laying in bed one night and it was past midnight............. and I swear I heard cicadas too............... ><

I turned down the volume on my game and still heard it .__. so they were actual cicadas outside in my backyard!!

We've never had cicadas in our area but this Summer I've heard them screaming a few times, at first it caught me off guard like "What the hell is that, where the hell am I"

oh i havent heard those in years, my aunt used to have a lot in her yard but we never did even though we only lived like 10-15 minutes away

I believe I heard some insect chirp as soon as I visited this thread. Wow! Not sure if there's a sound file, if I'm hallucinating, or if it's real (but somewhere else).

Cicadas are pretty annoying, but they don't bother me.

Yep, I always hear both cicadas and frogs towards the end of summer. I own a decent sized chunk of land in a wooded area and have a small lake in my backyard, so I can usually hear some kind of wildlife year round.

I actually find the sound of cicadas and crickets to be really soothing.

Sounds like they're screaming bloody murder ;n;

Cicadas are so cute! I love their sound. This is a pic I was lucky enough to get of one in my front yard

sometimes they get annoying but most of the time it's really calming, when i used to live in new york it was really rad to hear them because that meant summer was poppin off

I love cicadas! I've only heard them once, I think, when I went on a trip out of state before. Where I live I can only hear lots of crickets, but I really like the sound of them too. I keep my window open at night over the summer so I can hear them and the noise is very calming to me.

I never knew it was considered unusual to not have cicadas. I've heard them every day of every summer just about.

We don't have cicadas here where I live but when I go to hot countries on holiday I love hearing the sound of them. It just really reminds me of the summer.
