Is it still risky to adopt/trade villagers?

I thought that the villager glitch was fixed in the last patch but it seems that some people are still experiencing glitches, unless, for some reason, old posts are getting bumped up.
I also see that the forum opened up a new section specifically for villager trading which is cool.
I'd love to start inviting in some amiibos and adopting out villagers to loving homes but I'm a bit scared until it's 100% confirmed that the glitch has been fixed.

the glitch has been fixed by the looks of it, but we have a new glitch wherein a villager moves in but they show up as an empty house with a "I've moved out" sign. no one seems to really know how it happens, and sometimes you can adopt a kicked out villager successfully without issues (i think most of the time actually)

I'd probably just advise against any trading involving villagers that have been booted out by amiibo until it's been 100% patched anyway

So say if I have a villager that moves out naturally, would it be safe to trade then?
I'd just hate to give someone a glitch or have one myself.

oh yes. you can even trade an amiibo villager safely so long as they choose to move out themselves
the game just seems to get a seizure whenever it's faced with a villager that's kicked out via amiibo

but yeah it's 100% safe to adopt or trade away villagers that move out naturally
