As we know the Saniro cards are coming out soon and the villager I want is Etoile ! I love her so much so that I accidentally started to do a pastel theme for my island. I may add Tobi for the Japanese theme and for Kabuki to have a buddy but overall I did a complete theme change. Is that weird?
Nope! I like to match my villagers to my theme, to some extent. To me it just gives it more of a natrual flow, rather than me having like a creepy horror Halloween town them having all these pastely cutesy villagers wandering around. Unless that was intended, I find it odd, but I don't judge the person. Sometimes we all just want villagers who don't match our island but we just can't let them go.
Nahhhh I say go off and do whatever you desire! Sometimes we find that little think that makes us re-think everything, and there’s nothing wrong with that! I’ve changed whole sections of my island depending on which villagers lived there. Like for Ankha, I made the whole section around her an oasis, and then scrapped it all once Francine took her spot and now that oasis became a whole forest. And it’s the same thing for an entire island
There's really no such thing as weird in Animal crossing. The beauty of the game is that your island is yours to do whatever you see fit. If you want to change everything about it, you can! If you want to replace all of your villagers, you can! In New Leaf, I would cycle through themes all the time. I would go from a cub town to a squirrel town to a cat town, and so on. I think you changing up the theme, if anything, will keep the game exciting and fresh. So I say, go for it!
I’ll look at a picture of a mush lamp and contemplate changing my island to more forest/fairy themed.
Like when I saw the new bunny day items and they have that cute pastel adorable bunny day tree, i was like omg a pastel fairy/cottage island would be beautiful
i usually snap back into it and ultimately love my tropical island but anything can make me want to switch things up!

my island is springcore themed but ive been wanting to change theme to cottagecore because i really want beau on my island and his house exterior suits it so well haha
not at all! it’s always fun to change things up - as long as you’re happy, it’s not weird at all! and honestly, i don’t blame you; etoile lowkey makes me want to switch to a pastel theme, too.
I don't think so at all. If something or someone inspires you I say go for it!! I would totally be switching up my theme if it already wasn't pastel and pink for Etoile as well.
Not really. Play how you want and how you think you will enjoy the game. Alot of people have islands they base on 1 villager. I'd love to see yours! ^^

I recently redesigned my whole island from suburban to more of an overgrown forrest vibe and now I think I need to change up some of my villagers so that I have ones whose house exterior matches the new aesthetic better lmao.
