Is marina a good villager?

Hi, new to the game ( been playing for about a week) and today i was able to invite villagers. The first mystery island i went to had this super cute pink octopus named marina...and i really wanted an octopus...is she a good villager?

She’s a normal villager. There isn’t such thing as a good villager. Invite her if she intrigues you, and don’t rely on the opinions of other people. Marina is very sweet, but she’s not my particular cup of tea because of her name. I associate her with someone that I do not like. Everyone has their own opinion on certain villagers, though. It doesn’t make one villager better than the other. If you’re intrigued by her, then invite her. If you’d rather search for another villager, try again. It’s that simple.

Agree, there really isn't such a thing as a good villager or a bad villager. Just people's good and bad personal experiences with villagers those vary just as much as opinions do. If you like her, try her out! Worst that could happen is that you decide you don't actually like her as much as you thought or hoped you would. Hope you enjoy playing!

If you love the villager and really want them on your island, then I'd say it's a good villager.

Yes I agree with what Croconaw said, don't worry about other people's opinions on villagers
If you like her and wanna keep her, go for it! If you wanna pass that's okay there will always be more opportunities!

Like others have said if you like her then invite her and you shouldn't let anyone tell you not to get a villager that you want but if you’re curious marina is a pretty well liked villager and ranks highly (between S+ to A tiers) on most tier lists I've seen. I've seen many people want/have her on their island and I myself also like her and have her as a permanent resident if that helps you decide!

She is 1 of only 4 octopus villagers, which makes her rare. On personal note i did grab her for her picture, while I found her too pink for me she did have a really sweet personality.

like others have said, there really isn’t such thing as a good or bad villager, but i personally think marina’s lovely! her design is absolutely adorable, and her house is quite cute as well. she also is a normal villager (my favourite personality), so her dialogue is kind, endearing, and makes me smile.

i’m sure you’ve already made your choice by now, but if you decided to invite her, i hope you’ll enjoy her! she’s very sweet, and i totally recommend her.
