is my typing style okay?

since i joined the forums (which wasn't too long ago) i've been worried that my typing style of rarely any capitalization and unnecessary exclamation points is, i don't know, against some kind of unspoken rule or something

so, is my typing style okay for these forums? i'm sorry, this is a dumb question but i just want to get rid of this paranoia.

i mean, i could type properly if i need to. i usually do if i'm making a more serious post. but if i do type like that in other situations, i'm afraid i'll come off as strict or superior or something. that's why i type like this. it's not as likely to seem threatening. so, uh, is it okay?

Really though, lots of people type like that (and many other ways). There's enough people on this forum that there's obviously gonna be some who concern themselves with how other people type for some reason, but there's definitely no unspoken code about it. lol

i don't type using capitalizations half of the time, and i sometimes use a lot of exclamations too. i don't think most people really care!! and if they do then they'll probably just have to deal with it. it's a lot better than being obnoxious and using all caps at least?

I am bothered when people don't use capitalization and punctuation. My first impressions of people on the internet are based off of how they type. I am less likely to look down on people that use proper grammar, and I think people that don't are either a young child, a Tumblr user, or just pretty stupid. You know how to type. I don't understand why you would want someone to think you're illiterate.

yeah it is. i used to write kind of like you do, but then i started using too many exclamation points and question marks... and after that i just.... stopped caring about grammar and stuff.....
i've tried to write more cool and proper, but honestly it's too bothersome to change how you write when it's literally just an animal crossing forum. lmao.

Typing like this all the time makes me uncomfortable. I only do it if I feel like it's necessary. But seriously, I'm sorry that it bothers you but I'm not going to start typing like this all the time because you said so. You should block me, that's probably the best course of action.

Also, I am 14, I used to use Tumblr, and I'm honestly pretty stupid, so you're right in those areas at least. ^^'

just a word of advice: don't type in a really small hard to read font, in a bizarre colour.

Like everyone said, it really doesn't matter how you type. It does form a first impression of a person though, and it varies with the content of their post.

Though if you're worried about if it's annoying or anything, type however you want. Most of us don't even care as long as it's readable and not actually annoying to the eye.

your text is actually legible and flows rather well

just keep punctuation in mind for lines of multiple sentences coming right after one another so stuff doesn't get mixed into each other

not that there's anything wrong in that regard with the OP, just saying as an in general thing
