Is stitches rare?
No villager is rare, they all have the same chance of appearing, though the rng tends to be unfair sometimesIs stitches rare?
That's another good point! Someone's more likely to grab him to try and sell/give him to another player if they see him than they would be if he wasn't popular.Although, as @Serabee mentioned, because he is popular he may cost more to get from someone else, on the positive side, because he is popular, even though the game mechanics itself do not make any villagers rare or common, the popular villagers are more commonly found on others’ islands, so if you are willing/ able to pay for some kind of trade for him (whether nmt, tbt, or igb) he will be relatively easy to find, as opposed to a less popular and therefore less common villager who doesn’t get offered for trade as much.
I wouldn't have thought so. I ended up with multiple of his amiibo (people tend to gift me amiibo packs cos yano, I'm the animal crossing lady), more so than any other.
As far as "rare" goes, it seems that's not even a thing anyway, it's more about popularity. Though I suppose technically the sanrios are rare, as they don't just show up. I believe there was some issue with Marty not being in very many packs too, so if that was true, that would make him rare.
I would say popular villagers have a lot more chance to show up on villager trading hubs, like on the Bell Tree Forum. Try finding Pate, Claude, Canberra or Dora for example... People don't even bother trading them in because they know they will get nothing in return. But, every day of the week you can find Judy, Marshal, Sherb, Diana, Audie and whatnot readily available for trade on the New Neighbor Network.Popular and rare are not the same. Villagers that everyone wants will likely be considered rare because when you’re looking for something, it never comes. I’ve found Sherb on a Nook island three times and he was one of my first five villagers that I had to build a plot and collect materials for. I definitely wasn’t looking for him and he just appeared. You’ll find Stitches eventually. I would just stop thinking about it and maybe you’ll come across him.
