Is there a Nook Miles island with a river on the cliff? (Golden Trout question)

I'm having a hard time getting the golden trout. I noticed on those islands fish spawn faster. Also wonder if rarer fish are more likely to spawn. I'm getting sick of crafting bait. I've wasted 40+ bait and still no trout.

i haven't seen one yet, and if there is one the chances of you getting it are probably quite slim haha

stick with the golden trout fishing! i caught one when looking for a stringfish, and then spent three subsequent nights searching for the stringfish until i finally got it

the rare fish are holding out on me in this game but it's so worth it when you finally get them!!

the stringfish is going out of season at the end of march, but still available to catch until then in the northern hemisphere
