I'd like to start making a list of my dreamies but I'm not sure what the max is or if it has even been announced/
Is there any word on what the max number of villagers will be?

i don’t think it’s announced yet but hopefully it’ll be announced before it comes out; for now, i’d make a list of who you’d like to have and once a number is confirmed, you can add to it or narrow it down; at least, that’s what i’m doing lol

from what i understand you can have 8 people on ur island at once and 4 ppl can play on one switch so i would say more than that i heard someone say 15 in a video but im pretty sure that was guessing.. i would just pick 15 and than when you find out you can narrow it down from there..
