Is there more storage than the house storage? Also a about send villagers gifts

I just got a balloon present with an item called a classic rocket which looks like a.... space rocket. You can open the door and change your clothes and only your clothes and gives you access to the clothes you placed in storage. In the other games (besides PC), there was furniture that gave you access to more storage. Be it a dresser, a closet, a refrigerator etc. I know the house has a storage place that they introduced in NL:WA but can you get any additional storage with the types of furniture listed above or is the 80 slot storage it?

I also noticed that they removed being able store items in letters.

Speaking of letters, I also noticed that if you send a villager fruit there is no option just to send one if they're stacked. Also, my villagers didn't send me a present in return. Was hoping they would send me other types of fruit like in previous games.

Your storage expands later on in the game when you upgrade your house, but there doesn't seem to be any external storage as of yet.
