amiibo Festival Is this worth getting?

I think it looks pretty fun. Also, just throwing this out there- don't be a d!ck and buy the amiibos if you don't want the game, because people who want to play the game need amiibos to play it. Anyway, I like Mario party, but this is better imo for 2 reasons- 1: the latest mario party I have is 8, meaning that I've had the same one for awhile and gotten bored of it, and 2: everyone knows Mario party 8 sucks. Plus this game looks fun, and anyways- wasnt everyone hating on splatoon before it came out, and now look how great it is! So you never know whether a game is good or not until it comes out.

No one was hating on splatoon.

But I hope that this game has more content than it shows. I would be completely fine with this being an AC version of mario party, but it isn't. It's worse because so far what we have seem shows us that the board game is completely based on luck, which is kind of stupid.

People were hating on splatoon. http://www.forbes.com/sites/insertc...with-its-short-sighted-multiplayer-decisions/

Anyway, I was just using that as an example of a nintendo game people thought wouldn't be fun but turned out awesome, if you don't like that one think of another one :/ . And it probably will have more content. I doubt it will have a huge amount, seeing as it is a FREE GAME, but I think it looks very fun for what it is. And I'm perfectly content with playing new leaf for however long it takes for the next animal crossing to come out.

Also, just gonna correct myself here, but it seems more like an animal crossing versions of monopoly or life than mario party, which is still pretty fun. I have people who I like to play this type of games with and this would be another one of those games.

Splatoon is and was a mediocre game at launch not worth the $60 admission. It's gotten better, but the game is very much a work in progress.

Meanwhile this game continues to be a disappointment and an absolute cash grab with the Animal Crossing name attached to it. Party games are never worth the full price honestly, this one less so because you NEED amiibo in order to play IIRC. Add in the fact they keep adding more and more amiibo to this (granted you don't have to buy them), they're really just testing how much they can milk the AC fandom.

Pretty sure the game isn't gonna be free. If the amiibo bundle is $60, that must mean it's $25 - $30 considering the fact that 2 amiibo are worth around $24 -$30.

I understand your logic, but you're not taking into account that
1: it is a physical copy as opposed to a free digital download, and it costs them money to make physical things

2: they are bundle exclusive amiibos, meaning they are worth a little more, and

3: the game comes with exclusive amiibo cards, which are also worth a little more than regular ones
