Island Layout woes...

Currently resetting for a specific island layout, and with there being 95 total default island layouts, every attempt I have a 4.2% chance of actually getting the island layout I want and when I finally get the desired default layout... I'm at the mercy of randomly generated extras such as native fruit (desired being apple or cherries, or a 40% chance) and either a blue or orange airport (50% chance).

Bleh.. XD

Being picky with certain things definitely has its negatives, but it'll feel so amazing when I finally get what I am looking for.

I was lucky enough in that one of the layout choices that was one of the very first ones I really liked. I got oranges (I just didn't want pears or peaches) and I liked how the land/dock/river mouth/etc was. The ONLY thing that was wrong was airport color was yellow. Yellow is my least favorite option. But I didn't want to lose everything else being perfect, so I went for it. I don't regret it, but at the same time, I wish I could change that airport color.

So I definitely understand why you'd want to get something perfect. I just hope you can get it quickly and don't have to reset for many days just to find it.

Don't give up! It took me well over 24 hours to reset for an island once, mainly because I wanted a specific layout, specific fruit, and decent starting villagers. Unfortunately that island didn't last because I screwed up terraforming to the point where it was unable to be salvaged, but it was amazing while it lasted!

Yeah... I wasn't too picky with my release island, but now I really just want that "perfect" layout.

This is the one I'm aiming for. I just really like the position of Resident Services, and I really wanna work with a double south river mouth layout so this layout basically screams "perfect."

There is one other layout I'm not completely sure on, but I'm willing to check it whenever it pops up. I'm just not sure if I would settle with it when I really want the above one.

Ahhh.. Okay, fourth attempt at finding the layout I want and it has Cherries and an Orange Airport, though both villagers I'm not super fond of... but this'll do, lol.

If it’s any consolation it took me WEEKS to find my current map. I wanted a map where the RS is centered with the airport dock and has ample space in between them, also wanted big rocks especially the one with small water pools in them, a long dock, a reasonably sized peninsula, peaches and green airport. I got it eventually. Although I didn’t spend the whole of those days looking but it’s still A LOT of time spent on looking for the map. It is what it is when you’re looking for so many specific things, so don’t lose hope!

Ah, I could see that being a nightmare since I believe there's only like.. three default layouts that are even remotely even with the airport.

I totally understand how you feel. I think I got lucky finding my island layout a few days ago. It took me about maybe three or four times? I was hoping for mums and a yellow airport, but I got windflowers and a blue airport. Now having those I actually like better, so I’m happy with how it turned out. Good luck with your search if you haven’t found it yet!
