I like sharp pencils. Sharpening pencils, not so much. If only there was a way to get from a blunt pencil to a sharp pencil without having to sharpen it. And no, I don't like mechanical pencils. I don't consider them real pencils. Real pencils require sharpening. 🤨 Wait. I think I just annoyed myself. 😩🤪

It always worries me when I see one of my islanders thinking. But it turned out that Lolly just wanted to give me something for the magnetic knife rack I was carrying in my pocket. (It also worries me that my islanders all seem to have X-ray vision. 😐 )

Marshal spent the entire morning... not singing. I mean, he would stand and start bobbing and swaying and smiling, but then he would get distracted by the flowers and go to water them. Rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat. His attention span has taken a holiday without telling him. Those flowers are so over-watered. 😅

EDITED TO ADD: A happy thing!

Um. I've collected 1,000,000 nook miles. 😅 It's not an achievement. It just happened. Every day when I open up my game, as I run around talking to my islanders and taking too many screenshots of them, I complete a few tasks to earn some nook miles. I do the easy ones, like changing outfits or selling fruits or shells. Also bug catching. I like catching bugs. I ignore tasks like whacking trees for wood, fishing or diving because I don't enjoy those. So, having played every day since the game launched, just doing a few tasks a day, I've finally hit a million. To be perfectly candid, it's kind of embarrassing. 😐 But I've lived long enough to develop a thick skin about being addicted to the games I play. And the anime I watch. And the manga I read. And the list goes on. And on. And on. 🤪😅

Lately, I've been giving my islanders candy, just to see their reaction. 🍬😊

In other news, I'm excited for ACNH ver 2.0! 🎉 There's so much to look forward to. In particular, I'm in love with the new fern-like ground cover plants as well as the cliff-side vines. Can't wait to have Kapp’n take me to these new islands so I can collect some. Also, baobab trees!

Gonzo was taking a mid-morning nap on the hammock between his house (on the left) and Claude's. He must be having a sweet dream judging by the smile on his face! I've always found it difficult to snap a photo of a napping islander because they inevitably get up while I'm still fiddling with the camera. So I'm happy to catch this one. 😴

Speaking of snapshots, I'm looking forward to trying the new handheld camera mode in ver 2.0. Even though it doesn't seem terribly versatile. It looks to me like a simple zoom function with the subject always being aware of your presence because they turn to wave at you. I'd rather they ignored me so I can take more candid shots.

It was... An Awkward Moment.

Lolly's discovery reminded me of the time I impulsively left a note on a stranger's car. I was walking through the airport carpark. The car was decorated with One Piece decals. Being the OP fan that I was/am/always will be, I gawked, then scribbled a note of appreciation (said it was cool and awesome and I loved it) and left it under the windshield wiper. I wonder what the car owner's reaction was. 🤨🤪

The sky was beautiful today! ♥

This area that Lucky is wandering around in with his lunch bag is actually inaccessible. No incline. It's just an open space filling up with lily-of-the-valley plants. I'm planning on putting in climbing vines and a rustic looking ladder once I'm able to get my hands on them in version 2.0.

Although I've found Raymond appreciating the fish in the museum before, this is the first time I've bumped into him in the bugs section. 😄

Speaking of bugs, my son found a house jumping spider in his bathroom. I told him he could set it free in my room instead (not bedroom but the room where I play games, read, do hobby stuff). I like jumping spiders. They're tiny and harmless and cute and they can keep other bugs away.

How does this happen? I've been playing for over a year, talking to all my islanders every day and just when I think I've heard it all, Lucky says something to me I've not heard from any of the other lazy islanders I've had or still have! This is why I love this game. ♥

I think I'll always be grateful to Lucky for not doing it at my front door. The thought did cross his mind though! 😅
