As the proud mayor of our island, I kindly welcome all guests that passed dodo border control, and for the right price, those that did not. Our beaches are golden and our ocean filled with spectacular sea life, please do ignore the occasional lost duck that only seems to be washing up on our shores. We have a ton of things to do for most age groups out there! The elderly might not be too pleased with the lack of ramps and railings in our infrastructure. However, I've been told the inside of the dodo airport is worth a visit to Tropico all on its own!

For the first time tourists, this journal will be your information hub for everything that is going on around the island. We happily accept any inputs about our society however, complaints will only be taken into consideration when dropped in our idea box in front of the dodo airport
(as of today, still to be installed).

Please refer to our resident center representative Mr. Nook for your application to become a Tropican! Our application process is notoriously slow but we'll make up for it by adding your very own nameplate in front of your house at no additional cost!

Below is an island tour of Tropico's first version back in 2020. This was later changed to the current island we have today. Credit to Poki for doing/recording the island tour!

🚊 Tropico Railway

The recent increase in tourism has made it possible to fund our most ambitious project on the island, the Tropico Railway! This newly established line makes travelling from one side of the island to the other a breeze. Take in the scenery all around or stop by in one of our railside shops and bars, found conveniently (yet not dangerously) close to the train tracks!

🍜 Shima Noodles

Looking for the best noodles in the pacific, well look no further than Shima noodles in our town center! Chef Hiro prepares daily fresh bowls with a variety of local seafood options straight from our own Tropico waters. Stop by for a warm bowl of goodness and a friendly chat with our villagers and even though many say Chef Hiro's expressions look as bland as a ...statue, after a couple drinks in the evening, he'll surely loosen up!

🌺 Hana Park

Take a left off mainstreet and you'll be greeted by our Hana Park domain. Either spend the night in nature at our camping ground or wander off into our beautiful park. The waterfalls and rivers have created a natural little island as the center point with different flowers and plants appearing each season. Go down south to meet up with Erik our farmer and pottery class teacher or enjoy a nice picnic in front of our sealife study center where our local species are brought to for examination and classification. Do mind the barrier that keeps the evil gnomes away, cross at own risk...or rather just don't cross at all.

⛲ Town Square

While some villagers still choose to stay put in their nature environment, others have moved to the lively town center on Tropico Lane. Here you can meet up with our island inhabitants and spend the day in one of our many shops and restaurants. Plan a visit during festivities to see both Tropico Lane and Mainstreet magically decked out for the season! Garbage collecting occurs on Thursdays 08:00 AM.

🏴‍☠️ Blackbeard's Cove

Stories about a legendary pirate flow out of our Bourbon Lounge like good liqour from a bottle. According to some villagers, nothing more than rumours to lure in enthusiasts. Others speak of him as the founding father of the island today known as Tropico. Legend has it there exists a hidden location on the island where treasure resides. However, a terrible curse shadows this place and anyone that tries to steal it's gold will be met with a haunting faith forcing them to keep getting stranded on the shores of our beaches with nothing more than a broken communicator...until eternity! Dum...Dum...DUUUM!!

🍄 Gnomeland

If I'd ask you what our greatest threat is here on Isl. Tropico, what would you come up with? Too much sunshine? Sea levels rising? In reality, our biggest threat is actually a 20 inch tall embodiment of pure evil: GNOMES! It must've been 5 years now since the first batch of the little devils washed up on our western shores and we've been unable to get rid of them ever since. During the years they have occupied our western beach and set up an autonomous region named "gnomeland". Every autumn when the power of the mushrooms is at its peak, the gnomes grow stronger and try to move land inwards. So far we've been able to stop them just before Hana Park where we set up a containment barrier. As long as we're dealing with this invasive species may we please ask our visitors to keep a safe distance from them and report any strange mushroom growth seeings on the island?

💦 Waterfalls
Who needs Niagara Falls when you can feast your eyes on Tropico's own magestic waterfalls in all its (pixelated) glory! Just north out of the town center you'll be greeted by the roaring sound of water crashing down from above. Our 3 story high waterfalls is nothing less than a world wonder...and a long night of terraforming. Take the stairs up to the top for a delicious meal at Mt. top dinner, a great location to host shooting star parties!

Here I will display the amazing art commisions I've received. As much as I love each piece, I also like to switch around a couple times a year (or for specific seasons) so this will serve as a "museum" were I can keep displaying the art until I equip it again.

Thank you again to all these amazingly talented people 💛

The idea was to have each villager do something different with a donut and it came out great!

I really liked airysuit's style of avatars with the flowers around it. This time I went for a smirk face because my character can be a little devil sometimes ^^

I love this art style. 0ni drew my island rep for the upcoming 3 seasons: summer, winter and fall.

Your town reminds me so much of New Leaf! It looks super charming.

Tysm!💕 The one thing I missed on my previous island was that charm & cozyness. Hoping to bring it back now in the new version but it's taking more time than I thought, haha 😬 Might have some new areas ready later on today, though.

Update!
- Golden Temple
Finished the entry & temple itself this week. Still needs some plants around the area and the left pathway will lead to Nook's Cranny.

- Cemetery

The building that took in this area was removed and instead made way for a small cemetery.

- Train track shopping street

The train tracks and 3 buildings next to it took the most time but is finally finished. The buildings represent a ticket office (pic 1), a regular shop and restaurant (pic 2). Still need to add some things to the regular shop but for now don't know exactly what items I want :/

Almost finished:

  1. Nook's Cranny
  2. Lone Creek Park
  3. Town Garden
  4. Villager street with 3 houses

After taking a break from doing construction for a while, I came across some great ideas that I wanted to build again. This week, I finished up my camping site (pirate themed), Lolly's pumpkin farm and Felicity's farm. The villagers living area in the town center, a small camping ground and a large waterfall/staircase structure (on top of which there will be a cafe). 💕

I saw your submission on the Island Tour and decided to check out your DA, all I can say is WOW, Tropico is gorgeous!! I'm in love with the train tracks & the dollhouses forced perspectives and everywhere I go is just more beauty.

I think my other faves are the campsite/pirate, the waterfalls with the plants/garden stands (stunning!) and Erik's house. I had a blast roaming around & I hope lots more ppl will check it out!
