Hmm..

Ive went to the island for a while now.. and i came up to this strange tour.
The Firefly Tour..
Ive never even seen a firefly in my town... not even midnight....
Is it something that was only made for the tour??
I feel dumb.
Anyone seen a firefly in their town??

Fireflies aren't in towns, as far as I know.

I have. They show up during the summer, at night. Typically near bodies of water.

According to this they only show up in June, so that's probably why you don't see them.

The firefly tour is awesome They're so pretty when you see them flying around the river.
Plus, you get tons of medals if you catch enough to get gold

Yup, they're only in June, so that's why you don't see them in August. I really wish they could have stayed longer, though.
