My sister has a switch where she plays Animal Crossing, she is the “main player” and I’m just an islander on it. I just bought a switch lite myself and have the animal crossing game to go with it. Instead of starting over I was wondering if I could duplicate the island from my sisters switch onto mine with the island transfer tool. I don’t want to delete it from her account, just so we can both play on the same island from different devices?? Can anyone help please ???

I know you can use the transfer to move an island to another device, but I don't think you can use it to duplicate. With that, I am hoping Nintendo will one day make that a thing because it would be really cool.

no, as a matter of fact I think that Nintendo would frown upon people being able to duplicate their islands. best bet is to just restart with your own island.

You can't duplicate the island, but you can move your player from her island to your own when you start a new game. You'll start the game with your catalog, house, storage, and apps, which includes terraforming, if you have it.

You're welcome. When starting a new game, make sure to tell Timmy and Tommy "I'm Moving". Also, only secondary players can move off islands. The island rep cannot move.
