Japanese amiibo question

So the series 2 cards are only out in japan, right? So what if I buy a japanese card and try it with my english game, will it still work? Or will it speak japanese?

Also, will the uk version work on my north american device/cartridge?

The cards would work exactly like the English cards. The only difference is that the card itself will be in Japanese.
The cards are not region locked so any region card will work with any region game.

They're in AU/NZ/EU/ASIA as well, not just Japan
