Well, me not having an interest in Smash, this is an unexpected turn. Well, with him out of the way, will there still be a Direct that won't focus on Smash? I know, the 3.0 Update, but still.

I don't play Smash Ultimate that much anymore and to be honest, I never played a Persona game
before, but Joker looks pretty cool though.
Can this really be count as a Direct? For me, this is more like a new Smash contect presentation
that has nothing to do with a Direct, as they just drop this out of nowhere, much to the surprise
of many (Smash) fans without any hints that it would get dropped this week or anything at all.
At this point, I start to wonder if Nintendo just drops Animal Crossing news out of nowhere, as this
one with Joker like I said came also out of nowhere and many waited and asked for him and the 3.0
update for Smash for a while now...

I think people were estimated around 8:50pm EST since that is when maintenance on the Nintendo Network ends. I'm more excited for Stage Builder than I am for Joker though!
It's what people consider to be a mini-Direct, which is more often than not an extended presentation focusing on one specific game. Given how the announcement was 15 minutes and posted on the official Nintendo channel over the Smash Bros. channel, I'd say it counts.

It doesn’t show up on the official Nintendo website. So I wouldn’t count it as a direct, unless it hasn’t been updated yet.
