So to start off, your town is absolutely lovely. It gives me such a calming vibe. The placement of all things flower/plant/tree related is spot on. If I had to recommend anything, I might look into adding paths with either a earthy or stone vibe. This could give your town a sense of cohesiveness and organization. Other than that, keep up the good work.

You had MANY of my favorite villagers, Whitney, Kidd and Beau to name three.
One thing I do in my town with ALL my villager homes is colour coordinate flowers/hybrids and surround their homes with flowers of that colour in a specific pattern. I noticed you were on the right track with some homes, but it didn't seem organized. Your Zen garden was spot on. But try that with your villager's homes. With Beau's house I have Orange hybrids - tulips, cosmos, roses, etc in a pattern surrounding his house. With Whitney I put alternating blue pansies and white roses (now she lives with you, so her memorial site, a statue fountain, has those flowers where her house once stood).
I also didn't notice any fruit trees! Like NONE! Did you recently go fruit picking?
Also your beach has Coconuts, but aim for variety.... alternate with Bananas too! If you want I can gladly give you some if you don't have any ^^
