Well I downloaded the Japanese Rom, so might as well tell everybody how fantastic it is. It's the sequal to PAON's DK King of Swing, which I loved, Critics slammed, and all of you likely avoided because it didn't have prerendered graphics. Well it's sequal time (Well, it's really a fusion of KoS and DKC, hence the new name), and it's coming to the DS (In NA anyway) in a month. DKJC has something for everyone.
For the DKC Fan, you got Klobbers, Puffers, KONG Letters, Levels that remind me of DKL (Factory that resembers DKL's Girder Levels ftw), and the Buddie System. For the critics, the gameplay has been majorly upgraded. Now you press A, B, or Y to attack, as opposed to waiting 5 seconds to charge as in the original. It really helps gameplay along. Also, if you barly miss landing of a ledge, you automatically grab the edge and pull yourself up. Not to mention this game is faster, more action packed, the areas are burting with diversity (Not all going up and up anymore), there are new Mechanics being introduced all over the place, and quite a bit more. Finally, for the guy who says "A 2D DK Game that isn't prerendered isn't worth playing", guess what? The graphics are prerendered! And let me tell you, it looks fantastic. The world map is 3-D and as you move it follows you. It's pretty neat, and a bit like a DKC map in 3D, as it's a pretty acurate map when it comes to the path you take and how seamless it is.
And can't forget music. It's fantastic. Some tunes remind me of countless other games, such as Cave Music is like Yoshi Story Pipe (Yoyoyo Yoshi), only with DKC's Jungle Theme. Icey Waterfall reminds me a bit of DKC3 GBA's Waterfall, in that it has an epic feel to it. The Icey Thorny Area's music (Wierd name for it, I know) has a sort of Mario Kart feel to it. Mirror Land has a Kirby Feel to it, and the Ruins Level has a sort of Rocket: Robot on Wheels feel to it. Not to mention Funky Flights, which is a remix of DKC2's Funky Flights. It's fantastic. Can't wait untill someone rips it all.
Right, in summery, buy this game in a months time. It's fantastic in every way. No pics because I'm lazy and I paused my ROM of it to write this, and don't want to spend too much more time on this.
