been completely out of the loop for two years... anyone know some good eshop games? i just bought pokemon yellow, my last purchase was pokemon x. i have fantasy life and acnl.

I suggest getting any of the following:

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon
Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer
YO-KAI WATCH
Kirby: Triple Deluxe
Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright or Conquest
Pokemon: Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, X, or Y
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds

Those are just a few fun 3DS games I can think of at the moment. I'm sure there's loads more that I can't think of.

Kirby: Triple Deluxe
Noooo, get Robobot, it's better.
Also X and Y were some of the worst games in the series (And they already have X and Y isn't any different).
Other games I'd reccomend would be the Bravely Series. (You should start with Default: For the Sequel but Second is better and there aren't any huge problems if you start with it. And don't get the original Default if they even still sell that since For the Sequel is the same price and just has more in general.) Rhythm Tengoku: The Best+ is also supposed to be good because it's Rhythm Heaven, all of the games are fun. :p

I've never played Robobot, so I wouldn't know, and I do agree that X and Y were complete ****. I'm REALLY hoping that Sun and Moon aren't as bad. The legendary and starter Pokemon look promising, at least.

I've got some more 3DS titles that I could easily recommend you trying out. Keep in mind that most of these aren't necessarily the genres you're used to play, so open mindedness would help you a lot on enjoying these games.

Essentials 3DS retail games

  • Mario Kart 7
  • Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate
  • Super Mario 3D Land
  • Super Smash Bros for the 3DS

Essential Japanese-only 3DS retail games

  • Beyond the Labyrinth
  • Digimon Re : Digitize
  • Dragon Quest VII (+VIII)
  • EX Troopers
  • Super Robot Wars UX (+BX)
  • Taiko no Tatsujin
  • Tales of the World: Reve Unita
  • Theatrhythm Dragon Quest

My personal recommendations

  • The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D
  • The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D
  • Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam
  • New Super Mario Bros. 2
  • Shovel Knight
  • Pheonix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy
  • Puyo Puyo Tetris (Japan-only)

That's a lot of games to choose from, but I haven't told every 3DS game worth playing right now. Also, you might want to set up your Nintendo account while linking your Nintendo Network ID on it, because My Nintendo is a thing.
