Are you going to do it as soon as you start playing this game?

I think that would ruin the core experience. I never really even thought about trying to keep villagers original before I joined this forum and found out there was a market for it. It makes sense for themed towns just made for visitors, but for playing in your main town it means you would have to avoid so many interactions with villagers. And yet I see that people do want original villagers for their main towns too... so I'm curious about people's plans.

If it's not obvious, I won't be doing this, but I'm wondering - if we get an opportunity to actually customise villagers' homes in this new game, will the market for original villagers be as large? Because then you can always decorate their houses as you like to coincide with the theme you're going for, which would be even better than keeping an original design.

I don't get the appeal of original villagers. I mean, sure, their houses look a little nicer, but they feel unloved. I like knowing I have a "used" villager. Otherwise, it seems like the player has just been ignoring them. Even with villagers I hate, I don't like the idea of someone just ignoring them. It seems not in the spirit of the game. You have to talk to your villagers and do your best to make them feel great in their town!

So, long story short, I'm not going to keep my villagers original. I never have, and I never will. Not even if people pay extra for it.

I never cared to keep my villagers original in New Leaf, so I will not care about in the
Switch game either. Like, if my villagers want to change their shirts or having different
items in their houses then okay, why not? I mean, it bothers me not that much. The only
thing I would keep an eye on is that nobody has fishs or bugs only in the house. So that
the villager has at least a few items.
