King Salmon question

Anyone who has the NL guide knows it's full of errors. I stopped paying attention to the dates on the bug and fish pages and only went by the calendar pages because they were so different from each other and the calendar pages so far hadn't steered me wrong. Til now. The past few days I've been trying to get the king salmon. I went online last night and realized this is one time the fish page is right and the calendar wrong. So because it said that it was out this month I never bothered to look last month and I missed it. Crud. So now I have to go back and catch it since I don't want to wait a whole year for it. I'm only planning to go back to the 30th cause I don't wanna go too far back. So my question is on that date will it be at the mouth of the river or only in the river? I don't wanna waste more time looking in the wrong place. Thanks

Yes, I caught the king salmon in the second half of september.
The waterfall part by the sea.

It's at the mouth of the river where the river meets the ocean. Check for a shadow swimming in and out of the waterfall. That sucks you missed it. Prima guide, right? Those are always full of errors, no matter the game.

Its October now so you can't catch it. If your game is set in September you should be alright though.

Thanks so much guys. I just kept seeing online that 1st half of sept it's at the mouth of the river and the last half it's in the actual river. I just wanted to be sure.

yep the waterfall...I just kept casting my line down there whether I saw anything or not and I caught one, oddly enough I caught one when I saw NO shadow down there LOL Only King Salmon I got too.

Prima's NSMBW guide was pretty good, as it made my friends rage when I did one of the secrets (1-1, second rotating pipe trick, for those who've played it). But I have found many errors in my MK7 guide. I've personally never bought one, the two mentioned before were gifts, (the latter of which was my friend's but he quit the game, so I got to keep it). Now that I hear this, I probably will stick to the internet for my information, instead of paying for some ridiculous false info.

I have the prima guide and there are plenty of errors in it but for the most part I do like having it. I tend to fish and bug hunt when a new months starts and I don't have much left to catch at this point but the rest are mostly winter bugs and fish.
