Lag since the update?

Hi guys,

is it just me... or is the game suddenly insanely laggy since the update? I've never experienced any lag at all, and now I can barely walk around the island without the screen constantly stuttering. I don't know what's going on, I don't even have a lot of items around. Most parts of my island is completely undeveloped with just some fruit trees, and even there it's lagging?

Does anyone know how this is possible? Have you experienced it before? How did you solve it?

Yes, the lag is so severe on my neighborhood area I'm seriously thinking of starting fresh It was a bit stuttery before but now it's just terrible.

Mine was REALLY bad yesterday, but this morning it seemed to have fixed itself. I wonder if it was because of the in-game rain on my island yesterday. Not sure why it fixed itself today, I didn't change anything on the island and the only difference is the DLC is downloaded.

I've not experienced any lag but a lot of people on Reddit were bringing up the issue yesterday, I'm assuming it's because the game is so much bigger now that it slows things down a little. Hopefully Nintendo have picked up on this issue and will fix it if it doesn't get any better in the comings days.

Are people experiencing this AFTER the update have a Regular Switch or a SwitchLite?

My island is less laggy past 2.0, but the item pop in is crazy now.
Idk fair trade I suppose.

This is happening on Switch V1 and OLED for me.
