John Huston's The African Queen

This is a perfect example of a perfect adventure film. I can praise virtually every aspect of this wonderful movie.

Before that, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Another incredibly endearing experience for someone like me.

The Night of the Hunter

This is one movie which I'm still glad to admit that I have seen as a child. It truly terrified me when I was 6 years old. I don't find it too scary now, since I have gotten over the fear it gave me back then, but it is still something I can highly recommend.

I'd want to be saying that about Alien: Resurrection and Pitch Black. Some of the more underwhelming titles with a high rating on IMDb, for whatever reason.
