Least favorite video game character?

Omochao from the Sonic games and Navi from Legend of Zelda.

No explanation needed. Lmao.
Gonna add on Chip from Sonic Unleashed. Imo he's in a similar realm to those two you mentioned. Basically any clingy character with an annoying voice that doesn't ever shut up. Though I do have a soft spot for Omochao lol.

Louie from Pikmin because the whole entire reason the story of pikmin 2 happened was because Louie made Hocotate Freight go BANKRUPT because he did something very bad NO SPOILERS. Atleast me and Britney had the same mind in Pikmin 3! UWU.PNG
I still hate him :(

Isabelle from AC
Eevee
Pikachu
Cortana from Halo
Katt from AC

and there's more haha

Currently, I do NOT like Cheryl from Harvest Moon: Tale of Two Towns. She's like that super creepy obsessed with her older brother type and it just rubs me the wrong way. She's also super frickin' bratty AND annoying.
sounds like someone i would also hate

WHY DO YOU HATE THE QUEEN AND KING ISABELLE AND EEVEEE ????????? PLEASE ELLABORATE

I will not explain why because of reasons
Fine but Eevee is super cute and Isabelle, Gracie, and Katie are best AC SP characters. Like Isabelle wears Green in ACNL so how could you not love her?? In NH she is just as nice. But she used to do alot more for you in NL but pleaseI am sad. Well we disagree but can agree that Isabee yes Isabee tries her hardest at everything :)

Sonic.

Design? I'm fine with that.

Everything that happens once he opens his mouth and words start coming out? No, stop it.

He always just comes across as one of those irritating "surfer dude" stereotypes from the 90's that should have stayed in the 90's. I'm absolutely mindblown that I don't recall him saying "bodacious" or "radical" because that's just how he comes across (he probably says "rad" at some point though"). Add to that him coming across as loud, cocky and arrogant. I really don't find any part of his personality even remotely appealing.

So it's lucky he doesn't actually speak in the games I like.

the princess peach slander is wild. not sure if we're 'allowed' to disagree with other posts, but she's one of my favorite video game characters, personally, and i think the "always getting kidnapped" shtick is more a fault of nintendo (or whatever branch makes the mario games) and the IP's meh representation of female characters than peach herself, since she's proven to be capable of self-defense in several games, although that doesn't make any woman invulnerable to being a victim anyway, so 🤷‍♀️

anyway, as for me, as soon as i read the question, i forgot every game i've ever played. when trying to think, the first character that came to mind was cappy from odyssey. don't know why, he just annoyed the heck out of me. no tag-along NPC in a mario game has really appealed to me since tippi from SPM. the second character who came to mind was gregory from fnaf: security breach. can't stand him, which is unfortunate since he's the protagonist lmao.

It might be a fault of Nintendo, but that's still part of the character. You could pass off most disliked characteristics for characters as a fault of the creator, but they're still flaws of the character.

Odyssey being mentioned, I just finished beating the game again this afternoon thus have been recently reminded that this is probably the worst game in terms of Peach looking like she did it all for attention. Like, at the end she just tells Mario and Bowser "no" on their advances and Bowser just...Accepts it? Did she try saying "no" when he initially kidnapped her? If she did, why did he kidnap her the first time but just accept it like a bro the second time? She's been screaming "help me Mario" throughout the game and is then just like "nawh, go away" once he saves her?

There's something to be said about this being a 'hot take' making her less of a prize for Mario to win at the end, but it also comes across very attention seeking.

And yes, Cappy is also very annoying.

i personally disagree, and i still dislike the assertion (previously) that women who can fight are somehow incapable of being kidnapped or "playing victim" if they are. also don't really agree with the odyssey thing since the ending you're mentioning seemed more like weird comedy from nintendo with her just turning around and saying no to both. you can only blame so much odd/bad writing on characters themselves.

I was stumped with this question for a while, but now I remember him. Morooka from Persona 4 is one of the least likable characters I’ve ever seen, video games or otherwise. He’s crude, nasty, and inconsiderate. Every line of dialogue makes him seem worse.
After he died I felt a sense of relief that I didn’t have to listen to anymore nasty comments directed towards the protagonist.
