Leaving parties

Does anyone else do this? Whenever I move out a villager I like, I hold a going away party for them. Meaning that I go to Harv's island, set up a scene that looks like the type of party that villager would enjoy, invite all their friends and call it their leaving party, haha. Makes me feel like I am giving them a nice send-off, plus it's fun.

So here's the two I've done so far, for Dom and Bob.

This is actually a really neat idea! I hate to admit it, but I've never actually bothered to go to Harv's Island, I feel like a terrible host Perhaps it's also due to the fact that the villagers I had that left were ones that I wasn't too fond of haha

The first one I was probably at it for a good hour but that was partly because I was killing time. I needed to hold onto Dom until a particular time of day when I had planned for someone to come and get him. So I spend a long time experimenting and trying things out on Harvs island there while I was waiting.

The second one was a lot quicker to set up because I had already done it once before, if you compare the 2 pics you see they're very similar in where things are placed, just some surface differences.

This is such a cool idea, I never really thought about it, but it's such a great way to use Harvey's island!
I never really use Harvey's island much other than to get the poster or see what villagers look like in different clothing, but this is really cute!

Your party looks great! I did the opposite and held a "welcome to the island" party for Marshal. I think I got the (adorable) idea for it from someone here.

My leaving villagers have all so far ended up on my husband's Island because he didn't get round to filling his plots. So, goodbyes aren't as important!

I've only very recently started fiddling with Harv's island. It takes me a long time to figure out how to put a room together in there - idk why, too many options and lack of inspiration? - so I don't go through that effort. And I figure I might as well not since I already had two villagers move out with no fanfare. Cool to see the pics from other people who do it though!

I always forget Harvey's Island exists. I've never thought to do something like this but I am 100% stealing this idea!

@minimoon a welcoming party is a cute idea too. Digging the tea party vibe. Everyone looks like they're having a blast!

I've never done this but I want to after seeing people do it! There's no one I want to let go right now, but whoever leaves next will have a huge party. Most of my villagers have been with me for a few months now so they definitely deserve the proper send off!

this is a super sweet idea lol! i've only used harv's island to check color variations on furniture or see what clothes would look nice on my villagers.. i need to play around with what it's ACTUALLY supposed to be used for more

I would love to do something like that for Harv's island but all I have done is scan all my amiibo cards in to be able to get their posters, and it ends up looking like a police line up

I've never done this, but my gosh it's the most precious idea and the pictures are absolutely adorable!! I've honestly never used harvey's island, but I'm glad to see someone's enjoying it!
