Lets talk about shoes 👟

I've gotten really into sneakers about the last year and a half or so, and I've started to grow my collection. I wear and collect primarily Nike shoes, but I got a couple of New Balances and Adidas shoes and even a lil pair of Crocs as well! I recently won a sneaker raffle for the chance to purchase these ones, and it made me want to start this thread to talk about em!

So that leads me to ask, are you into shoes? What kind of kicks do you rock on the daily?

truthfully I only ever wear one pair of shoes year-round, and that's...

...black Converse high-tops

they can get uncomfortable to walk around in during long days, and they are unnecessarily difficult to put on and take off. BUT... they are super stylish and go with every outfit that I wear! I've been wearing Converse since I was a sophomore in high school (over ten years ago now), and to this day they're the only name brand piece of clothing that I buy. I'm hoping someday I can buy a Waluigi purple pair of high tops hehehe

besides those, I do have Nike Slides that I wear around the house (before you say anything or judge me, I have to wear shoes in the house, thank you). I don't own any other shoes though. I'm not much into variety when it comes to shoes. I'm pretty content wearing my sandals in the house, and my Converse outside


edit: and yes, you can ask @/Shellzilla_515 abt me wearing Converse in the middle of a Canadian snowstorm lol

I wear a pair of these Converse slip-ons every day. These are the only shoes I've found that fit my feet without destroying them.

Otherwise, I wear a pair of Naturalizer flats:

I try to keep the latter two for in-office only because I nick them without fail otherwise (black Sharpies are my best friend).

I do have a pair of running shoes for light hiking that I'm not super in love with. I don't remember the brand, but I would love any specific running shoe recs that prioritize cloud-like comfort!

Curious which brand it is now LOL but Hoka's are big in fitness/activity right now. I don't have a pair of them myself, but I tried them on at the Sporting Goods store the other month and they were comfy and felt cloud-like as well! They got different styles too tailored for running or hiking.

these days, i mostly just wear a pair of black steel-toed work-boots because it's not often i leave the house outside of going to/from work lmao. people like to call them my "toddler boots" because they look huge on my feet. other than that, i just wear the same pair of basic white trainers everywhere, though i do have some other shoes -- a pair of white sandals, and a pair of white/pink flats -- that i might wear instead depending on the outfit, usually if i'm on holiday. i'm not big on getting new shoes because breaking them in is too much of a pain, literally.

I only wear the Nike Pegasus shoes, in triple black. They are very comfortable, in my opinion.

I used to wear Converse, but… I find them very uncomfortable to walk in, and a pain to take on and off.

I wear a pair of white Converse high tops for my everyday shoes! at work I'm around saltwater all day so I wear these deck boots

and then I have a pair of black vegan Docs for boots to wear outside of work. one day I will own a pair of Bangs.....

Oooh. I'll have to look! I looked at what I have, and they're a pair of running shoes from Merrell. My feet slide around a bit, so it's definitely a size issue (classic 9 is too large, 8.5 is too small).

I'm not super into shoes, I just don't want them to hurt my feet. So I purposely look for shoes that are flat and wide inside and breathable. It's just was is comfortable for me and causes my feet to hurt waaay less.
The most recent ones I bought was about a year and a half ago. They are a loafer shape and comfortable.

I really like the look of your green Nikes though. I would keep the green laces or go with brown.

Those shoes are awesome! I love the green and now I’m craving matcha!! I have a few pairs of shoes but I usually stick to my black Converse high tops when I want comfort, but if I’m in the mood to switch things up, I’ll throw on my platform Docs.

The coolest shoes I own are these Hello Kitty Sambas that my sister gave me. They’re incredibly comfortable and super cute. Initially, I wasn’t a fan of the Samba style, but now I really like it and I’m thinking about getting another pair in a different style.

My favorite pair of shoes are these custom Coraline Converse!

Would love to get more pairs, they are perhaps the most comfiest shoes I've worn in my life. Also so sad to have slept on these because the leather-looking ones would've been great when I was at school but alas...

my daily wear shoes would be my nike air max!! they're super comfy and they don't give me any trouble despite me being on my feet so much at work

my daily "winter" shoes would be my doc martens i think it's the 1460 style! .... cough i knoooow they're not real winter boots but i'm never out in the snow for extremely long periods anymore so it's okaaaaayyy, fellow canadians please do not come for me

also! i've had these babies since i was 16* so they're very thoroughly broken in so they don't cause me any pain
*they're almost a decade old oh mY GOD

my old retail job didn't allow us any branded shoes so i couldn't wear either of those ^ so i got the approach loafers from steve madden !

they're fun, the gold detailing actually makes quite a bit of noise when i'm walking so i don't wear them out as frequently but they are very comfortable

i've sold so many sneakers at work that i thought were super cute but i don't have space for all of them!!! so many nice new balance and addidas ones (っ;´ - `; ς)

Thank you for the lace suggestion! Do you have a specific shade of brown in mind? I'm actually curious to see how it would look cause I fancy lace swaps! Here is a pair that I have with different rope laces vs some laces that it comes with (also comes with cream laces):

You can't beat the classics.
I haven't gotten Vans in awhile, but did you ever try the Ultracush ones?? They don't make them anymore I believe, but those were some of the comfiest shoes I ever wore in my life!

I enjoy watching and collecting them. For long wear I like Hoka. For everything else I like platform shoes. usually by J-fashion brands.
