On June 8th, 2014, I welcomed my second Cypress into my life after deleting my previous town the year before. I knew that I would never have a town quite the same as that first one, and I wasn't even sure if I would have it for very long. But despite my slight misgivings, I promised in my mind to this town that I would do my best to hold on to it throughout the year for as long as possible.

And on June 8th, 2015, here I am, celebrating my first year with this town!
As many of you know, I deleted my first Cypress due to all of the work and activity happening at school and in my family. I was sad to say goodbye, yet I knew it was for the better-after all, they do say that education is more important than video games, and I totally agree. That's why I had a few misgivings when I got my new Cypress-I was worried that the same problems would just arise again. But this time, I was more experienced, and I told myself that I would try my best to have this town outlive the last.
Fortunately, school didn't get too in the way this year, and even though I had to go (at the most) 5 days of the week without playing, I pulled through, even if it meant just playing on Saturdays, Sundays, events/holidays, and the occasional Friday. Summer would come eventually, and I knew then that I could have all of the time that I wanted just to hang out online! Many events have been missed and lost, and many villagers have left-some moved to neighboring towns, others voided-but I know that it was all worth it in the end. It makes me happy to see how far I've come with this town. I still have lots of work to do, but I couldn't have made it this far without all of my fellow friends here at The Bell Tree Forums. Thank you for encouraging me to continue keeping up with my town, even when I felt like my whole life could be so much easier without it. No matter what, I will always believe that Cypress is the best town that anybody could ask for. :)

Congratulations on your town's anniversary! I know how hard it is to decide whether to keep a town that has gotten away from you or start over - I thought long and hard about doing that with Salem - but it sounds as though you made the right decision for you. I'm looking forward to hearing all about the improvements you make to Cypress and how your villagers are doing. Keep up the good work! :D
