Before I get deep into the contents of this Blog, I want to share some news that happened since the last time I posted. To start, Gulliver's shown up yet again in Cypress! Well, he did last week. I couldn't figure out the country by the hints he gave me, so I decided to check out Thonky's trusty guide. With some research, the answer became clear: Portugal! The next day he sent me a Rooster of Barcelos (is that right?), but, as usual, I decided to sell it since it didn't fit with any of the themes for my house.
Nothing else too big has happened since then, so I'll go ahead and skip right into yesterday's Bug-Off.
I as glad to attend again, since my schedule is always off and on for certain events. I took Kappn's boat to the island and easily caught a Birdwing butterfly worth 103 points. I was a bit concerned that I would be passed up throughout the day-afterwards my family and I were going out to dinner and to see a movie-so I couldn't go back on until after the awards ceremony. Thankfully, I received a certificate in the mail this morning rewarding me on my first-place prize with yet another gold bug trophy! Later on I checked the bulletin board to view the runner-ups: Tammy with 67 points, and Merengue with 53 points. Wow, I had beat them by quite an amount! I guess there really was no need to worry.
Speaking of the mail this morning, I also received a letter from Dad, wishing me a happy Father's Day. Make sure to remind your own dad that you love him, too! He'll appreciate it. ^-^
Isabelle also informed me when I came online that today is the Summer Solstice, where the sun will be up all day. Looking out of the window in my room right now, I can see she wasn't kidding! I met her in the event plaza shortly after to obtain another pair of ladder shades. I snapped a couple of pictures as well, just as I do every year!

I believe that's all for tonight! Keep watch for Part 76, and I wish all of you a happy Father's Day and first day of summer!
