Lightspring’s art? dump updated 1/24

Cute art, and super good for your first attempt at digital art! 'w')b

Hopefully I'm not overstepping too much, but a bit of advice for shading that I quickly scribbled together (because when I first did digital art, I did the same thing until someone told me similar things):

I tried to keep it simple to things you're probably familiar with already -- you'll learn more as you experiment more 'w')b (e.g. painting, finding other brushes you like more, etc.)

For the colour-picking part, you can actually choose from a bunch of different colours, it just depends what you like best and what you're comfortable with!
Thank you for the in-depth advice! And you aren’t overstepping at all! I was a little nervous when I saw your post because I knew I was about to be judged by a top-tier artist, but it really helped! I’ll keep in mind how to shade next time! 😁

afgkjdfl i'm far from top-tier!! I'm still figuring out stuff and experimenting myself ywy)9

I know I always felt really nervous getting advice/critiques when I was still learning too so I know that feeling! I don't think that feeling ever goes away -- but if it helps, it also means people see potential! 9'w')9 Good luck!! Keep drawing!

Still better than me lol >~<
Seriously, I’ll continue to draw and get better and experiment with more as I go along. I know I’ll be critiqued more and more as I learn, but it’s a work in process! Thank you again, it really means a lot to be noticed by an experienced artist! 😄

I drew my character Delilah in a qipao! (that is very Western-influenced) So far, feet are not my strong suit when it comes to drawing. 😅

AHHH ITS SO CUTE! It makes me feel good of my self for using ibis paint lol i thought I was the only one 😝
Ahhhhhhh thank you so much! So far, I’m too broke to afford anything other than that. I know of other users on here using ibis paint so I don’t think we’re the only ones. 😊

Yeah, I’ve heard of procreate, I have an iPad but it’s just that it’s kind of an older model. I want to improve on my art first and then think of getting another app.
