Limited types of flowers??

So your telling me, if I want Hyacinths. I gotta either be lucky to get it as my native, or trade with someone?

mhm, well kinda. You seem to be "locked" with 3 flowers. The one you find on your island when you start up on the cliffs, seeds nook gives you, and something you find on your mystery island. That's how it seems to me.. Trading with others hasn't unlocked new ones for me, and I have not found anything else aside from those 3 on my islands.

But these members are saying they have 4 available flowers, while me and others only have 3, so perhaps theres hope yet?..

When my nook’s upgraded they stopped selling hyacinths and started selling tulips, so that makes four since roses and wildflowers grow naturally on my island.

TWO flowers grow naturally on your island?! Mine only grows cosmos..

My shop have sold cosmos, hyacinth, orchid, pansies, windflower, lilys and my native flowers rose.

I haven't seen any moms.

That really sucks.. my question is can you "breed" basic flowers to get more basic flowers? IE: breeding to yellow tulips to get more yellow tulips?

My shop sells roses, tulips, windflowers, and pansies. Roses are the only native flowers on my island, but I have found roses and windflowers on mystery islands so far. I am only on day 6 and I am not TTing currently.

Checked out my store and I have a different stock of flowers.
Yesterday I had: Mums, Windflowers, Pansies
today I have: Mums, Hyacinths, Tulips

these are the only flowers I've ever seen in my shop, maybe as we continue to upgrade more varieties will be available

This is the same with mine though the chances of me seeing tulip seeds sold is more uncommon than the others. I've yet to see yellow tulip seeds.

Yes, if you plant them next to each other and water them, there's a chance that they'll produce more basic colored flowers.

K my shop sells windflowers, tulips, hyacinths, and cosmos as of right now. Still no lilies, mums, or roses.

Really?!? I’ve checked every single day and I’ve only ever had the same three variants available, just in different colours.

Other than tulips I really am not a fan of the other flower types I have... the mums are so ugly IMO.
