Happy Birthday to the TBT Popularity Thread!
I'd like to say thanks to everyone on TBT "adopting" this thread as their go-to guide for popularity. I'm glad that it's been of such a great use to everyone who uses it. I understand that people don't agree with the tiering of villagers, and I'd like to point out that I agree. I don't like the idea of putting other villagers above others, but at the same time, people ask how popular a villager is all the time, so a guide for people is always useful, which is why I made this list. I wanted to help people.
We've had a great year here, and here's hoping that there's more to come!
I have some super special extras for you today, which will come after the update! You'll soon see what they are, but we've first gotta get down to the week's business!..

Kabuki has been moved up from number 4 of Tier Three, to number 27 of Tier Two.

Lobo has been moved up from number 11 of Tier Four, to number 2.
Goldie has been moved up from number 13 of Tier Four, to number 1.
Gladys has been moved up from number 24 of Tier Four, to number 16.
Sydney, Amelia & Henry have all been moved down from numbers 27, 29 and 30 of Tier Four, to Tier Five.
Bonbon, Cube & Jeremiah have all been moved up from Tier Five, to numbers 17, 24 and 29 of Tier Four respectively.
As always, please feel free to discuss the changes this week! There's not too much, but there are some brand new Tier Fours, and some real movement at the top of Tier One.

Okay, so now we'll move on to some birthday extras! I decided to give you some records set, and any honourable mentions that should be talked about as well! I hope you enjoy them!
I'll also include a copy of the Tiers at this time last year at the bottom of this post too so you can compare the current listings to how they were back then!
Before her recent sharp drop, Rosie was the second villager to hold this position. She also never dropped out of the top 11, mainly staying around the 8/9/10 spots, but staying consistently popular throughout.
I guess that one wasn't good enough, soooo..
Papi managed to climb from Tier Five to the bottom of Tier Three in a single week, before climbing again the next week. This one suddenly shot up in popularity, and he was absolutely everywhere at one stage. He has managed to remain very stable since that jump, and I don't see him dropping again any time soon.
Zucker held this crown beforehand, jumping a massive 6 places to number 6 earlier this year. The tier was relatively stable at this point, so this one was a surprise. His popularity was slowly dipping for many weeks, before this huge jump put him almost into the top 5. However, not long after this, he took a big dive into Tier Two, where he has remained since.
Coming in behind we have O'Hare and Pashmina, who both managed to take huge 11 place drops, swapping with Maple, and Cherry, respectively at the times they dropped. This obviously makes for pretty impressive rises for Maple and Cherry as well.
Ankha, this week in fact, has just dropped 6 places in one week. This is the second biggest drop in Tier One so far and I'm surprised. Ankha has been consistently popularity for many months, as mentioned earlier, and I feel that she'll bounce back quickly, 'cos she's different, but is a cat, which means most people will end up liking her.
Apollo is just behind, with his continual rise of an entire Tier, which spanned from the end of July, to the middle of August. He managed to climb 19 places in July to make it to the top of Tier Three, before rising every single week to reach his temporary resting spot at number 12.
Pashmina is next in line, managing to go from the mid-section of Tier Three to Tier Five in a matter of months. She also holds the distinction of being one of the villagers to have one of the highest crashes in one single week.

Marshal.
Are we surprised? He has been at number one for a total of 34 weeks at this point, and was solidly number one from the list's inception until the first week of May. That's some staying power. He's also never dropped below number 4.Marshal, Merengue, Stitches, Diana & Fang.
Surprisingly enough, Ankha, Lolly and Julian have never been at the top of the list, despite maintaining almost constant popularity throughout the list's history. However, most of the number ones have been fairly predictable.All of the current Tier Ones + Skye, Molly, Phoebe, Erik, Zucker, Bam, Tia & Rudy.
Yeah, you're reading that correctly. Rudy used to be in Tier One. He was only there for a week, but he really zipped up to the top of the rankings when this list was created.Ankha.

This little one rose from Tier Four to the mid-way point in Tier Two in a single week. How? Because I made a mistake and forgot she was still in Tier Four.. Whoops I guess that one wasn't good enough, soooo..

This one was fairly recent. Fang managed to jump a massive 7 places from number 8, to the very top spot in one single week, just 3 weeks ago. He had remained fairly stable at the mid-point of Tier One for many weeks, but suddenly leapt up in a single week to number 1, and has this week managed to reclaim that crown!Zucker held this crown beforehand, jumping a massive 6 places to number 6 earlier this year. Hamphrey was never one of the most popular villagers, but he remained a very stable Tier Three for most of the time, until he took a tumble down to the bottom of Tier Three. Kiki and Diana are cute but in my opinion they're the most overrated....

^This. I see everyone asking for Bonbon, but she's all the way down at the bottom? Three people already PM'd me asking if they could have her when she moves.
And I can't believe Ankha dropped, I've seen a lot of threads for her lately. But then again, that doesn't mean there was much demand for her.
