Okie done ^.^ its a little short, 300 something but oh well, its more of a fluffy drabble I guess?
Mario glanced around the empty park, searching for any sign of the princess. Having her back at last, he had finally asked her out on an official date. She had, of course, agreed, but she had told him to plan the entire thing.
Mario wasn?t a romantic. Not really. He had asked advice from his brother, who had planned out a whole date for him.
He had hated it.
So then he had gone to Toad, who had no idea about anything like that at all, but Toadette had saved the day.
So here he was in the park, waiting for the Princess.
The sun beat down, shimmering on the waters of the lake where a few birds swam, chattering amongst themselves.
?Mario?? He heard her before he saw her, he did a slight double take when she approached.
She wasn?t wearing one of her pink dresses, she was wearing a white sundress with purple flowers that decorated the hem. She had put her hair into soft curls, and left her crown at home, and instead a pale blue flower was in her golden hair.
She gave him a smile and sat on the blanket next to him.
?You look amazing...? He said with a blush, as he handed her a red rose.
?Thank you.? She replied softly.
?Lunch?? He asked, with a smile.
?A picnic?? She laughed. ?How clich?.?
?Really?? He asked, suddenly panicked; clich? was bad, wasn?t it?
The panic must have shown in his voice as Peach let out a silvery laugh. ?I was joking, Mario. It looks lovely.?
Relief flooded through him, as he pulled the basket in front of them and opened it. He handed her a plate, and then removed a few containers filled with sandwiches cut into triangles.
?Honey? How did you know that honey is my favourite??
?Because it?s sweet, just like you.? Mario answered smoothly, earning another light laugh from Peach.
?Now that, was clich?.? She said, leaning over to plant a soft kiss on his cheek.
Oh NO, THAT WAS REALLY CUTE!!! Ahhh, that was lovely, it made me smile. Thank you for that. <3
