Little pet peeve

I am new on this forum. I started playing New Horizons a few months ago. I enjoy it a lot! However I have a very tiny pet peeve. As funny as Pascal's quotes are, I hate him for giving me pearls most of the time I admit I restarted my island because I hated how my previous one looked. But on my previous one, I had better luck with Pascal.

I had lots of mermaid DIY and all the dresses & shoes. But now, I dive every day and all I get is pearls! The RNG with Pascal is just insane. The fact that he so rarely gives Diy annoys me. And I love mermaid stuff! I want more of it but Pascal keeps being incredibly stingy. That's my only pet peeve honestly (although I do think terraforming is too slow but anyway). Please Pascal I just want DIY for god's sake.

Edit: Hello! Just updating this thread, as of now I have all of the mermaid DIYs! To get everything I had to make a second character because it took so long with my main one (). But after so long, I finally have it all! I wish it didn't take that long and that Pascal wouldn't give so much pearls, otherwise I would have had everything much faster.

Once you get all of the mermaid DIYs, he'll only give you pearls and clothing items, but most of the time it's a pearl. So it may be that you already have all of the mermaid DIYs.

I have a lot of pet peeves but especially after playing Disney Dreamlight Valley, I’m really missing having a joined up inventory. For anyone who hasn’t played Dreamlight Valley, your pocket and house storage is connected when crafting / cooking. So if you want to craft something you don’t have to have the ingredients in your pocket, it’ll pull them straight from your house storage. Equally you can use a craft station in another villagers house and still use ingredients that are storage in your house storage.

But I do not have all the DIY. I had almost all of it on my previous island. I'm swimming every day but I get pearls 90% of the time. I wish I had all of it but I do not and the RNG with Pascal is annoying.

Hi sorry for the late reply. I'm missing the sofa, chair, vanity, wall and table. I'll get them eventually. Pascal finally gave me a DIY (the rug) last time

I feel you on that. I think I read somewhere that they increased his pearl rate with one of the patches, maybe the big 2.0 one. I'm missing a handful of the recipes too, and it's a struggle to get them. I literally got pearls 6 days in a row and was worried about a bug preventing him from giving me the rest.
