Apparently the trailer dropped for this one as well. I didn't bother watching it. One interesting thing I did hear since script portions have leaked, either Shang wont be in the movie, or his role in it will be reduced.

I saw the trailer for this yesterday and actually thought it looked pretty good. Since Mulan is based on a real Chinese legend, I don't mind if the story follows the real legend more closely and drops some of the animated story elements. Hard to tell if that will happen since it was just a short teaser trailer, but it did catch my interest. I might end up watching this one, but probably not in theaters.

although i'm getting a bit annoyed by all these live action remakes, i liked mulan, so i guess i'm pretty excited. hopefully the songs are good too.

It feels like as if Disney exaggerates with these live action remakes. At this point, I will wait till they gonna
ruin my (only) favorite Disney movie from my childhood: The Rescuers.

If that were to happen, it will kill all Disney animation for me. I’ll even stop watching movies forever. Other studios already screwed up on making stupid movies out of everything (hello, The Emoji Movie), I can’t have Disney do the same thing. We don’t need another live action remake, and we especially do not want a crossover based on that like Smash Bros and The Avengers.

I saw a bird in the teaser trailer and I remember thinking that maybe that was going to be Mushu (or a replacement sidekick). I didn't think it looked like a phoenix, though, more like a falcon or something. But maybe that was just a random bird and not the sidekick.

I think it looks amazing! I keep seeing people complain about the lack of songs/Mushu but with the style this adaption seems to be going for, I don?t actually mind the changes and think they work well. Also it?s worth knowing that Disney have confirmed that this film is more based on ?The Ballad of Mulan? than the Disney animation!
