I've only been on the forums for seven days now, so I suppose I'm not really in a position to comment on how much I love (or, heaven forbid, hate) it, but I'll give it a shot! See, I've used a lot of forums over the years - a lot have been for Animal Crossing actually. So, I could explain why this place is so different and so much better than anything else I've ever experienced, but I'd rather look at why it's similar. And why that's good.
Like a lot of good forums, it has a simplistic forum layout. Not too many boards, which avoids spreading the discussion too thinly and making the place seem empty, while having enough to make it obvious where to post and having clearly defined areas.
There is a good mix of "business and pleasure". Trading forums come slap bang in the middle, but there are plenty of discussion based forums underneath. For me, this is ideal, as I joined basically just to trade with you all! However, a nice discussion area is always a benefit, and I do enjoy unwinding with talking to others.
Then there are the people! I've only had a few trades so far, but everyone has been warm and welcoming and I am yet to have a bad experience! Being new and not having a reputation means people could have been cold and wary of me but they have been the opposite, and it has been wonderful! This giveaway signifies that!
So, to wrap up this brief look at TBT, the three things which make it so pleasurable are: Flowing discussion, a good mix of trading and chatting, and the brilliant members!
