Look bul!

I've heard that you'll have better luck trying to get into your own state college than one in a different state. I'm not exactly sure, but this is what I've heard from a few people. Plus, the University of Minnesota sounds pretty good.

I'm pretty sure it's cheaper too.

I'm still going to Digipen. Guys, try all you want, MY MIND IS SET. :\

Digipen has a pretty high student output that go to Nintendo. While I'll be working at Ninty with a high salary, the people that didn't work hard, COUGH, will have worse jobs. See what I'ma sayin'?

NOA doesn't care if you went to college next door.

Consider me in College. My family history in the field I'm in insures it not matter how un fair or immorral that may be.

NOA doesn't care to which college you went >_>

They only care about what you studied and what you're good on.. doesn't matter where you learned it..

NOA might not, but I do because of the location. By the time I finish Digipen, if I end up there, I can go straight to Nintendo if they have job openings.

Why do you even want to work for nintendo... dispite what you may believe, they're just as cruel a company as the next one out there, there's nothing more civil about them, and just because they have games you like doesn't mean you're going to be having a ton of fun working there... thats a childs dream, most of us lose that dream by the time we're twelve... if you continue with what you're doing, you'll lose your childhood, you're fourteen years old, you've still got a good 3 years to be a kid... trying to grow up right now is an idiotic thing to do... you've got your whole life to do that, you may aswell screw around while you still can.

this doesn't mean you fail classes on purpose, you can keep your grades up, but from the sounds of it, you're screwing yourself over with work. : |

and if you continue like this... you'll go to digipen, everything will be great, you'll get your job at nintendo... the only problem is you'll find out you get to put 75 hours a week in during the holidays... 55 on average, and you'll be payed about as low as a school teacher in Utah.

but of course you wont be able to quit, you're stuck, you've already invested so much time to get to where you are, there's no way you can turn back... you're literally stuck in a career you no longer want.

this is what happens when a childhood love of games turns into career... they know this happens, so they suck you in and use you, dont waste your life. : \

Just because you hold something as a passion, does not mean you should do it...

60k a year sounds great... there's just one problem with that, that includes overtime... you'll be putting in 60 hours a week minimum, and 75 during the holiday crunch, for something you "love", well, you'll learn pretty quick how far that love goes.

The gaming industry is a frail thing at the moment, for all you know, it could be gone by the time you get there... if you're smart, you'll consider a more broad field than "working at nintendo" like the other 400,000 Nintendo fanboys.

I was just like you at your age... then i realized how dumb a decision it was to take half your life and chase the goose that is gaming... its a dead end path.

Heed my words, or heed them not its up to you, if you honestly want an underpaying job you'll be stuck with for your entire life because you hold it as a passion... go right ahead, i hold alot of things passionatly... but you cant exactly make a good living off of them.

Video Gaming is one of those careers you dont want... the work only gets harder and harder, and you're payed next to garbage for what you're doing... a basic programmer makes 60k a year easily... over at nintendo you're making the same amount for 6 times the work...

but alas, i cannot stop you, you like many others took things like NSider to your head... you cannot realize nintendo is not some giving company that loves you more than they love money... the time will come when you'll learn this first hand... hit with the brick of reality... have fun ruining your life.
