I'm really starting to lose interest in this game due to it being so hard to get oranges and peaches! It's a real shame as I'm enjoying it otherwise. Not everyone is able to trade or visit other peoples islands. Sorry for the moan, just getting fed up.

Unfortunately Nintendo makes it very hard to enjoy the game without having WiFi. I understand the struggle. I’m sorry you’re losing interest. I think I would’ve had more fun with my game if I had WiFi at the time I was playing it. Now I have WiFi, but I don’t play New Horizons anymore.

Have you sent letters to your villagers that say 'Please send fruit' with a gift attached?

I don't know if it still works, but it helped me a lot back in the older games.

Yeah, it isn't easy is it? I'll have WiFi at some point, just wish it was easier without.

I will give that a try, thank you.

Yeah...I was missing pears and peaches the whole time, found it so annoying as I didn't unlock them until I got the NSO trial. I went to some treasure islands to get them (although it took ages to even get to one lol) and someone else kindly helped out too. I wish Nintendo had made it so it was possible to get all the fruits without needing to invite/visit people on New Horizons.

I tried this multiple times with the postcards for months and even sent different gifts, no gifts, longer and shorter notes...didn't get the other fruits. I think it's in the game's mechanics that you only unlock native fruit, coconuts and two non-native fruits without other people's assistance for the other two non-native fruits you need. (Correct me if i'm mistaken though, there's still alot I don't know about New Horizons despite that it's been out two years lol) I used to really enjoy sending letters and getting fruit from villagers in New Leaf! :)

What is the NSO trial? Its really frustrating as I have things I can't craft or cook because I haven't got oranges or peaches. I'm fed up of going to the mystery Islands and only finding my native fruit. Its spoiling the game. Yes fruit was so much easier to get in new leaf.

The Nintendo Switch Online trial gives you a 7-day free trial of the online subscription, so you can play online with other people and test it out for a week. I think I unlocked it through the My Nintendo rewards page, not sure when they become available, but I missed a few trial periods before, but got one in early January this year. Then I just forked out for the 1-Year NSO membership after lol

It's a good way to test out NSO and see if you might buy it after. Just make sure you cancel it before the trial ends, or you'll get the auto-renewal option pop-up and will end up paying for a month membership price after. You can see the details in the Nintendo Switch Online app on your switch, it will detail when you started your trial or membership and what date it will auto-renew.

Ah right thank you. I'll have a look when I have got WiFi sorted.

No problem! Alternatively, you could do local wireless with someone and get the fruits, without having to do it over the internet with NSO. I wanted to do this, but I didn't know anyone nearby who had the game...still hoping my best friend will get the game at some point lol

I'm in the same boat as you, don't know anyone locally who has the game unfortunately.

I have the same problem. I don't play with anyone online because I use my real name in game. So I only have apples, oranges and cherries because my brother gave them to me (my native fruit is pears). I probably won't ever be able to get peaches.
Not great is It? Think its unfair to be honest. I've not used my real name.

I feel ya. I wish we could get all of the fruits on our own rather than just the native and the sister ones. The same goes for the flowers. I have all of the fruits and flowers now, but I am just saying this as a general statement. And I do not know whether or not this issue was solved with the Kapp'n island tours.

30 days of NSO membership cost 3.99 $. Can’t you afford that?
Sometimes people don't have that to afford. And so much of the game should not have been locked behind online. Stuff like all the fruit should've been a thing that people could get solo. It was like that in the other games. NH just padded online play with base content since they knew they didn't have a real multiplayer.

You can't get fruit without trading/online. All you can get is your main fruit, a sister fruit, and the coconut. Maybe it changed, but this is how it has been since the start.

There is a 7 day free trial you can use, if you ever happen to have the chance to use it. Just remember to check 'do not renew' if you don't want it on automatic renewal.

NTM, it is very important for a lot of people to save money and even the cheapest one can hinder that. Plus, while adults are welcome to play Nintendo games as well (I'm 23 and I still do), these games mostly cater to children.

I know the OP said this wasn't the issue, but I just wanted to kinda express my opinion on this.
