That would suck. Unfortunately there is no 100% guaranteed way to do it. I've only done it once myself and I got scammed out of 2.5 mil =/

That's weird. It was my understanding that the seller couldn't get scammed because they could just flip the wifi switch. The buyer should be followed after they've spoken to the villager if you don't trust them.
I was buying a villager not too long ago and after I had dropped my bells, we agreed to end the session and there was an error while it was saving. After the loading screen, I checked my bells and they were gone so I assumed everything worked out so I tt'ed a couple days forward and my villager never showed up. The seller wasn't trying to scam me or anything, just a coincidence that an error happened when it did and she let me come back and ask the villager to move again. She could've easily kept my bells if she wanted to.
One million! I would love to have her, alternatively to my bell offer I would also be willing to part from my spare ABD, they usually go for a bit more. I do have a free slot at the moment, but since I'm doing a lot of trading I'm not sure when I'll get the next random move-in.

But I'm also pretty sure that I won't be able keep my villager count at 9 for the rest of the week, are you absolutely sure that there won't be a buyout price for her?
