Make A Collectible Wish!

Do you have a certain collectible you’ve always wished to exist?

Dream no more! During this festive birthday celebration, for the first time ever, here is a chance to get that one special collectible made for you!

It’s The Bell Tree’s 15th birthday! Wendell, Isabelle, Tortimer, and everyone else were invited to the party. As Wendell strolled past the forum, he noticed cute little images all around. Squinting his eyes, he realised what they were.

“Huh-Hmmm…
Collectibles…?
Very nice! I want to make some too!”

It seems that Wendell was also interested in collectibles. Hearing that, Jingle came to him with an interesting idea. “You liked them too, huh? How about this? I’m still looking for more presents for Toy Day… If you want to make a new collectible, then I can give them as gifts to TBT members this year. What do you think?”

Wendell’s eyes lit up. His collectible as presents?! It would be an honour! Why, just the thought of his humble drawing brings smiles to TBT members’s faces made his heart all warm and fuzzy. He immediately agreed to Jingle’s proposal.

However, as Wendell opened his sketchbook and readied his pencil on top of the blank page, there was a problem. He didn’t know what to draw! Wendell wasn't very familiar with The Bell Tree, hence why he wasn’t really sure what kind of collectibles TBT members wanted for Toy Day. Maybe you can help him?

Write a letter to Wendell to let him know more about The Bell Tree and what kind of collectible you wish for Toy Day. Who knows, maybe Jingle will deliver it to you this year?

Please submit a letter using the template below. In your letter, please tell Wendell what was your favourite thing that happened in TBT this year, your collectible idea (one idea only), and why do you want said collectible. If you wish to, you may also include an illustration of your dream collectible*.

On the 25th of December we will unveil a brand new collectible based on the winning idea as a part of this year's Christmas collectibles, made by yours truly! The shiny new collectible will then be up for grabs for everyone!!! (given you have enough currency)

Your collectible idea should be either winter or celebration themed.

How to Submit

Submit your entries by posting in this thread. If you’re also making a drawing of your dream collectible, please include everything in a single post whenever possible.

The obvious rules apply: One entry per person, write your own and don't copy or steal other people's letter/illustration. Please do put some effort into your entry. If we feel your entry lacks effort, or has just been submitted as a joke, then it won't be accepted.

Entries are due on Saturday, December 21 at 4:00 PM EST.

I have an idea, but someone already posted the same thing! Help!
No worries! If there are multiple people with the same idea, all of them will receive the winning collectible for free.


Do I have to include a drawing of my idea?
Drawing is not mandatory. If you cannot or don't want to draw, just a letter submission is sufficient. However, if you choose to submit a drawing as well you will receive 5 extra Birthday Tickets.


If I want to include an illustration, does it have to be in collectible size (28x28px)?
No need to, feel free to just make it a regular drawing! This event is more about collectible ideas and concept. You can leave the collectible creation to myself Wendell


*Please note that if your idea was picked, I may need to make some amends and the collectible's final look may deviate from your illustration.

My favorite thing that happened on TBT this year... was the Halloween event! One of my favorite events I?ve ever participated in. I had a ton of fun doing all of the events! It was honestly the best events in my time of being here, besides one of the egg hunts! I have fun doing those a lot, too.

A collectible I?d really want... hmm.. Either a glass of sparkling cider or even an Animal Crossing Snowman collectible! Those would be very awesome to have in my lineup! I would like these collectibles simply because I feel like they would make others very happy. Plus, I really love Snowmen, and it?d be extremely cool to have one to go with my Special Snowflake.

My favorite thing that happened on tbt this year was the Halloween event! And not just because I lucked into a weird doll.

My idea is a snowflake wand! It would go great with the other wands, it's a real item in new leaf, and I know lots of members have been wanting one!!

i've haven't been around for so long, but the 2019 easter event was my fav! i actually never knew how much people were scared of zipper the cute, innocent, adorable rabbit! the banner was.. totally something.

my collectible idea is a fortune cookie collectible. seriously, i'm surprised it doesn't exist! the fortune cookie's a cute item, and i'd love to see it as a collectible. i hope i'm not the only member with this idea!

My favorite thing to happen on this forum was the 2017 fair event. I had fun playing games with members on Wii U and it was a challenge getting a high score on those arcade flash games. The collectibles were awesome as well and I’m glad I was there to experience it. The prize with all the trinkets is one of the biggest highlights.

For my idea of a collectible, I would love a sparkling cider. It’s an item you get at the New Years in animal crossing and it’s something for celebrating the new year after all the happenings of the old one. It’s sweet to drink and looks really cute. I love Apple drinks so this would be wonderful to see here! I’d give a toast to everybody

My favourite thing that happened in TBT this year was probably coming back to the community with a better attitude than I did years ago. I really enjoy talking to old friends and seeing people from a long time ago, even if they don't remember me now. In terms of a collectible wish I want a light blue snowflake glow wand with dark background (I like Jacob's idea) or another kind of winter glow wand. I really love the glow wand collectibles because of the contrast.

my favourite walrus, my divine tusked creature. happy 15 years of tbt my gentle soul; this letter is a love note to you disguised as a submission. i'll admit 2019 has not been a very active tbt year for me, but as i always make sure i do, participating in the egg hunt was the thing i enjoyed most. there is nothing better than the the triumphs and defeats, the epic highs and lows... of egg hunting.

my collectible idea is a classy and bespoke celebration of the forum; a confetti bunny balloon. it would tie in perfectly with the current event, giving the beloved balloon collectibles a cute and fun twist. it's a colourful collectible i'd love to own due to my own love of the bunny balloon.

My favorite time here was just recently, since I joined early, I enjoyed this event. Even if this is the second part of it, I'm enjoying all of it to the fullest. I can see myself loving all of the events though.

So...I'm hoping one collectible, a blue glow wand with a snowflake side. I like all of them, especially the pink glow wand but this can bring the nice winter feels now. In fact, I made a prototype. Here it is.

I joined back in April, so I haven't been a part of TBT for long, but I suppose my favorite event was Halloween. While I enjoyed the others, Halloween was the time I was able to participate the most due to being more knowledgeable of the forums and events. Who could forget the day just was banned because people didn't want 2 hours of downtime?

A collectible I'd really want? That's hard to say. I do have one idea, the idea of a Big Festive Tree from the AC series. However, to set it apart from a normal tree, it would be separated into two separate collectibles: A top and bottom half. What separates it apart from the other multiple part collectible like the Doubitsu no Mori icons is that instead of lining them up in one row, you have to carefully manage your display so that the two are lined up on separate row. A bit of mischievousness for the holiday season~

I think my favourite thing this year was all the excitement around Halloween - strange dolls were a great gift to the community, and the chaos from the weird doll raffle was lots of fun!

My idea is a tweeter / party blower collectible. I think it'd go perfectly with the party popper already released and would be a great celebration of 15 years of TBT! Also, it's a reminder of the early days of NL when the tweeter glitch was still possible if you remember that.

Find attached to this letter an illustration of my idea. No, I am not 5 years old, but I get where you're coming from.

My favorite thing that has happened on TBT this year would have to be the Halloween event. It was the first event I participated in, being that I joined pretty late this year, and it was super fun! Getting to check out the new events every day and brainstorming about what to do for them was really fun!

As for a collectible I want? I'd want either a snowman from ACNL, any one of the family. If I couldn't get one of those, I'd want a winter glow stick. Probably based off of the blue glow wand you can get during the Winter Solstice event from Isabelle.

I don't have any concept art since I'm bad at drawing objects. Sorry!

Dear Wendell,

This year in TBT was absolutely fantastic. My favorite part was taking home the coveted golden easter egg. Its a symbol of my time here at tbt and I love being able to see tin my line-ups!

My idea for a christmas collectible would be a festive wreath! I love the color hunter green which would be a good base. You could put some animated lights in it if you're feeling frisky. Or just put some regular white lights in it. it can be decorated many different ways with pinecones, white or red poinsettias, cobalt blue, gold, or maroon ornaments. And of course a big red bow on the top half that drapes into the center of the wreath.

I want this collectible because it would remind me of my mother. She past away of january this year and she always loved christmas time. she loved making her own wreaths for christmas time and I have two up in my house now in honor of her. They are absolutely gorgeous and really set the scene, so I think they would do the same around the forums here.
