Hi ! I want to open here a thread about the different ways to make several rooms in one room.

(excuse my english btw, not my first tongue)

Please credit the pictures you'll post with the code of the house. :)

I like to use mid-high items, so you still can see all the details. Like the high flower pot. I wish it was customisable with various kinds of flowers. A bookshelf with bit flowers on it can also do the trick !

Using the simple wall can be a way to have several wallpapers in one room. And so you can give an identity to each room.

Here's an office with a wall separating a breakroom/lobby from the work area.

Here's one where I separated the bathhouse from the lobby

Here's a concert hall with glass panels to separate the stage from the audience

Kind of hard to see, but I used a glass panel to separate Lopez's bedroom from the rest of his bachelor pad.

Aaaaand one last one because I really like this one. The bed is on the other side of the wall, which resembles a candy counter.

I like to use the glass panels and wooden panels the most to separate space out. The glass panel lets you still see, and can look good in a modern setting. The wooden panels are heavily customizable.

This is beautiful work. Is there any option to make an actual wall (like of plywood or something cheap?) and then make a door through that?

I saw this trick on Tumblr and it's super cool! It makes the rooms feel larger but cozier at the same time. C:

To Celeste 13: use a the simple wall that's in the "lamp" menu. It's customisable, so you can put on it a pattern that will make it look like a door. One of the customizing options already looks like a door actually, the one with the white square.
But you won’t be able to "use" properly the door-like wall.
Most of the time I just don’t put anything, and that's the "door".

To CinnamonCrab: I am going to visit some of your houses now. <3

you won’t have the wall in new leaf, but the huge bookshelf does the trick. also other high furnitures, like chess pieces and fridges

I've never seen this done before! Is it possible in New Leaf, by any chance?

The closest you can get on New Leaf is using screens, or my personal favorite, the large bookshelfs! The nice thing is the large book shelves completely cover the section floor to ceiling unlike the screens which you can still peak through.

I have this game but for some reason I never played it. Only got to the introductory part and then i bought acnl and settled with it.
Is it better than new leaf?

Its fun if you enjoy building houses, but it's very repetitive so it's best to only play a bit at a time.

I had no clue that this could be done! I'm super excited to get my game now.

Is this something that can be done straight away, or is it a feature that needs to be unlocked later in the game?

I definitely need to try this, thank you for sharing this idea it looks so cool.
