I had never heard of sugar shacks so thanks for the explanation! I love maple syrup so it sounds like somewhere I'd love to go though :)

I've never heard of a sugar shack, but I'm glad to know now! Thanks for the education, haha. I enjoy syrup so I'd definitely love to visit one someday :)

I never even heard of one. And now that what I know it is, I’m not interested. I wouldn’t eat anything made of pure sugar.

I have never heard of these but it looks super cute. It’s a little crazy to read about kids falling out of the cart every year though?! 😭😭

I never heard of a sugar shack before this post! But it looks super interesting. Maple taffy sounds delicious!

Thank you so much for sharing! I hadn’t heard of one before, this post made my mouth water!

I didn’t know what a sugar shack was before reading this, and I am so glad I learned about it! Thank you for sharing! They sound quite interesting! I’ve heard of maple taffy and would love to try it sometime!

No, I don't live anywhere where they might do this. The tropics never get cold unless you are in the mountains like I am but even so not enough for it snow. This looked really fascinating. I knew maple syrup came from a tree. Most of the ones where I live are the unhealthy corn syrup variety like Aunt Jemima. I would love to go to Canada or northern US to see how maple syrup production works one day.

This is the first time I've ever heard about sugar shack but I enjoyed reading the first post!

Not eating candies at all? It's like hard candy, I can't eat much either but maple water is ok and there are other meals just using a bit of maple syrup or not at all like pea soup. I went there more for the mood than the food.😅

Little kids are like panda, they roll
But yes, I don't recall a year when nobody fell or got lost in the woods or stuck in the snow (that was me)

I don’t mind candy since some candies (such as chocolate) aren’t made of pure sugar.

a what? I've never seen one of those before.

I read up on it and it sounded pretty neat! thanks for sharing :D

I had no idea what this was until I looked it up, so no.

No but I'd like to! I found out about them last I was in Canada looking up where I should get maple syrup to bring back home, but I don't think any were open at the time. I'm going back in a couple weeks so hopefully this will be my chance!
It was my chance! My girlfriend and I went to one at the end of March so I could fill my backpack with maple syrup bottles. We didn't have a chance to try the taffy or anything else there but the syrup was the best I've ever had and the place was so cute. It was on a lil farm and we could see them boiling the water and stuff. I'd love to go back to one another time to do more of the sugar shack things!

Yes!! I've helped volunteer at a local Nature Preserve with a Sugar Shack, collecting the sap for them!
