People these days do it by exploiting their Wi-Fi connection to cause a "Duplication"
Duplicating 16 Royal Crowns is an easy 4.7Million Bells, nearly 6 Million if you have the Bell Boom Ordinance.

Otherwise there's probably other ways that the Japanese know of and aren't telling people.

Marina goes for well over 30 Million over on Reddit and other silly places, she seems to be really in demand.
