So, Mario Run is coming out on December the 15th! It will cost $9.99 for US sadly. xd ( I wanted it to be free) I have seen the commercial and trailer and it has this 1v1 thing where you collect coins I think. Theres so many cool levels from the older games but it still is pretty nostalgic. Go on YouTube and watch Nintendo Minute for a preview (they get to play games early T-T) Heres a link for more info!

Call me cheap but I thought this app was gonna be a free to play with in app purchases like items or something, not so that you have to drop $13 (Canada) to buy the full game. Sucks, Nintendo messed something up AGAIN.

I played it and it has potential but not for that price. I'd rather buy a main series game. I certainly hope they wont pull this with the upcoming Animal Crossing app.

You're not cheap, we were all misinformed. I wouldn't mind having bought the game if I would have known from the VERY beginning that would be the case. Not a free app with a massive paid expansion.

Exactly. This reminds me of Rustys real deal baseball with the large paid "in app purchases." You cant lie to your customers like that. It pisses them off.

I was quite excited for this app, and when it came out I downloaded it straight away! I had fun with the first few levels and then... Boom. "You have to pay to play further"
I honestly hate when apps do that! I can tell you now there is no way I would pay that price, I'm sure it would be a fun little game to pass the time but other than that I think I would forget about it pretty quickly ?\_(ツ)_/?
Come on Nintendo! Are you purposely trying to tick off all your customers?

I haven't heard anyone complaining here about the game's DRM requiring an active Internet connection for it to be playable. What makes it even more inexcusable is that it's set in place for supposedly preventing people from pirating the game, but that's really a moot point nowadays.

I wouldn't mind paying money for this, but $10 for 24 levels is too much. There are Nintendo Select full Mario games for $20 with way more than twice the levels of Super Mario Run. Minecraft for iPhone is only $7 and it has more content than Super Mario Run plus it gets regular expansive updates.

They will without a doubt pull something similar with the Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem apps. There will be microtransactions or paywalls or both. While I applaud Nintendo for trying to bring some quality gaming to mobile, I definitely agree with a lot of you that $10 is a bit much. 5-7 USD would have been the sweet spot, though I would have been fine with $10 had they actually decided to continue supporting it with occasional level updates.

But otherwise, Super Mario Maker 3DS is the smarter choice if you want a portable modern Mario game.

I think NSMB2 would be better, since I don't think you can share levels in the 3DS version? At least not online.

you have to get a certain amount of all colored toads in toad rally to unlock her but once you unlock her she can be played in toad rally and in the main game

i don't know how much it costs on the uk app store but i haven't bought it and don't plan on it. it would be a lot more sustainable if there were more levels and you could play without an internet connection. i just feel like it costing so much is a bad move for nintendo.
