I just voided Marshal bcos I got his his letter in the mail .________. I don't understand meh! How so if I kept the date the same? How the heck do people keep their villagers in boxes for more than a day?

yes that c/would work - he is still "somewhere" in your void-pool

the first one who comes over to your town and who has 9 villagers has a good chance of getting him to show up after a few days (it's a 50-50 shot)

Far as I know, voided villagers are queued? If you don't have anyone voided before Marshal/someone came to visit/you went to visit between the last move-out and Marshal, then odds are on the next person who comes along might get him via void.

Not sure about queued, but all voided villagers go into the pool, and once you street pass /wifi someone, the pool is cleared. And as Patrice said, ther is a chance of anybody in that pool to move in.

anybody any ideas on how long (period of time) a voided villager remains in the pool or are they there for like "forever" ?

They're there till u connect with someone, then it's dumped
