Here's me (Darth Vader) on an AT-AT (walker) (this is from Star Wars Battlefront 2)

it's fun going on top of AT-AT's too bad you can't get up there unless you're a special character (Pilot Luke is the other hero on Hoth, Darth Vader is the villian)

Hey, by the way... does Battlefront 2 allow you to create multiplayer-style games using only bots? If so, how many can you use and what is the AI like?

I'm pretty damn interested in picking this up- I like Star Wars games.

well, all of the modes are with bots...so...and there are like 150 on each team in a normal battle...so, I guess you can call it multiplayer. Also, when you start a online game, there will be bots, unless you get it full with 40 people or somethin...

well, they're nowhere near a quality human player...let's just say the ycan be as good as me (that is good and bad news at the same time heh heh).

Still, how would you rate them in comparison to the Counter Strike: Source bots? Are they completely braindead run-into-gunfire and stand-in-the-open jobbies or do they actually have brains?

I'd like to find out as much as possible before I purchase- this game is incredibly pricey for a PC game (

and yeah, CS:S bots are way too easy... none of them take cover, ever... and the difficulty is all based on how well they aim, which is really dumb, and online, you get awpers and 12-year-olds screaming into their mic... and whats worse is the 12-year-old is wasting you. : \

but hey, its still a great game.

I dunno... as far as AI goes, CS: Source's bots really aren't that bad. They react to sound pretty well, and they use cover to a limited extent. The worst AI I've seen in a long time is that of the BF1942 bots.

And yeah, the online mode can be pretty grim sometimes. Like when you get a server admin rebind your fire button or something...

Yeah, i hate those little online punks... its hard to find good servers these days, and when you do they always crash... or maybe thats just me... i really dont know.




I really haven't seen good A.I. in any game... i played one with way good A.I. but that was just through single player... i'd guess its alot easier to program A.I. in single mode for obvious reasons.

It's not just you. The vast majority of CS servers are naff. I personally prefer DoD online. The gameplay is more balanced, and the maps are larger and more interesting. What's more, there's not as many easy places to camp.

I hate campers... except of course on levels like Office where you're ment to camp, i think its pretty fun there, hanging back waiting for them to rush in, but then you've got the little jack-off on your team thats throwing granades at the hostages and screaming "LOL" into the mic. : \

I never played DoD, i've heard its awesome, but i've never gotten around to playing it...

And yeah, this game thats coming out, crysis or something... that looks like its got good AI... too bad my computer wouldn't run it without a $1,500 upgrade.
