I know there is:

Medieval building wall
Castle Tower
Castle Wall
Castle Gate

Are there any other building items, or items of significance?

I know they may not be offical, but the crest door plaque would be good if you were trying for a medival look. ANd the brick light houses would be good too for a castle look.

I've seen pictures of something called a "double edged sword" which is like a big zweihander type sword, there's also the suit of armour which is a new item. /SPOILER]

I've got a lot of other stuff for my medieval inspired town that was already in the game, like knight helmets, barrels, spikey fences, etc

It may be available with other villagers as well but I unlocked it in HHP with
Knox
Oh yeah, I've seen him before as I was villager hunting, I may have to snatch him up, thanks for reminding me about him!

Anyone know if there is an "iron plate armor"

I have the DIY for a golden plate armor, curious if there is a iron version?

Kind of, there's a regular metal version of the golden plate armor. It has two options iirc, silver-ish and rusty.

Also, about villagers,

I haven't seen Knox in HHP yet but I've unlocked some of these items with other villagers, like Huck. Just in case it takes you a while to meet Knox!

Thank you for the info, i'll try to hunt down that steel plate armor..... and good looking out on the villager!

You probably already know about this, but this candle screams medieval to me.
