Missing Catalog Items

Has anyone else noticed that the nook points items from the machines don't appear in the catalog? I'm not certain if that was true for the previous nook points items, but the new ones definitely aren't appearing. Are there any other items that have been absent from the catalog as well as of the 2.0 update?

Do you have the option to display non-orderable items turned on?

I didn't ever realize that that was an option that you could turn off and on. It is turned on though

You have to press "Y" in order to show or hide what items that can or cannot be ordered from Nook Shopping

Well, I'm currently trying to understand what happened to the Torii gate I bought on the nook shopping app (in-game, not on the phone app), as it's not showing on the catalog and I also can't find it in my storage.

Yep, I checked the whole island and my home and there's no sign of it. And it also doesn't appear on my catalog. I don't know why, but I'm starting to suspect the update just wiped it completely. Maybe because it's a religious symbol as far as I know (Shinto), and Nintendo historically has a policy of not having religious symbols in their games (but that would mean the item "Celebratory Candles" would have been wiped too, as it's tied to the Jewish symbolism).

Welp.....better report this to Nintendo. This sounds pretty troubling. Now I worry if any other items are bugged.

I'm trying to contact the person I sent one of these to see if she still has it, but I think she's already sleeping. If by tomorrow she tells me that her torii gate has vanished and both from her storage and from her catalog, well, it will be the confirmation of a bug.

I see the Torii gate in my catalog after checking it right now, and the celebratory candles are still there as well.

Well, it at least shows that it's still in the game. Now I want to understand how it vanished from my game! It doesn't make any sense.

So, I was able to contact my friend and she had the gate with her. She hadn't updated the game when I talked to her, and then she updated and it was there. She sent one to me and I'm totally puzzled now.
